D-LIMONENE substitutes for Bufo-extract?

Someone asked me what to use for Jorkests D-limonene Bufotenine Tek if they couldn't get D-limonene but thought had already begun the tek (guess they thought they had some).

Could Xylene work?

I'm not to jazzy about the idea of smelling steeming-hot xylene though.

How about vegi oil?

I have somestuff called Purple Power, Citrus Cleaner. It is clear, smells like oranges and the bottle claimes it to be 100% all natural orange oils and extracts, and surfectants.
Looked up the MSDS and all I get is that it containes 2-butoxyethanol-(%?).
Anyhelp?:?

Don't use that tek if you ask me.

It's quite easy to isolate bufotenine without heating any solvents:

in answer to your original question, xylene actually works better than limonene which goes a bit weird with the bufo when you heat it. It's just xylene smells awful!

The only substance I failed in extracting so far is bufotenine. I tried 3 times and none really worked. First this xylene boiling (yuck, never again! I had mask on, did it outdoors using a hotplate, and still it smelled like hell's gas station), which did not seem to clean up as expected. Then the simple IPA tek used by Fractal Enchantment, that resulted in an inactive bufochanga. Lastly I tried the link given by soulfood, it worked fine till fumarate precipitation. The freebase yield was a little goo, which when tried to clean up with the acetone:hexane mix, it resulted in a ridiculous yield lost and after 2 or 3 times trying to clean it up, it still resulted in a (very small amount of) waxy/gooey dark tan product. When that was smoked it made me want to puke my lungs out from the horrible taste, and the real effects didnt seem very remarkable.

Maybe bufotenine effects vary a lot with personal metabolism, more so than other psychedelics. Or maybe it has a reverse tolerance/get-to-know-it-before-it-works kind of thing, but with that taste, it really didnt feel like buying more seeds and extracting again. Hope you have better luck than me. Be sure to let us know if you get it to work well

I wouldn't say I've failed a bufo extraction, but the yields are more often than not much lower than some people have you believe.

Last time I got 100mg from 25g seeds and because it's so harsh to smoke I had to put the whole lot on some herbs which were then rolled and chased to acheive the desired effect. It's quite wasteful, but my lungs can't take this stuff neat.
