Hello! This is my first post and I had a few questions if anyone has some time. Essay coming

I believe I have almost everything I need to do the Noman tek Noman's tek - DMT-Nexus Wiki and just wanted to clarify a few things

I have purchased a 1 gallon wide mouth mason jar as the mixing jar: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F323VJF

I am still in the return window and wanted to know how important it would be to use an alternative made of borosilicate glass. I will likely be returning it anyway to purchase one with a rounded bottom but wanted to know how big a risk it would be to crack when mixing the lye with water.

When separating the naphtha into the collection jars, am I better off leaving the last remnants of naphtha if it means getting 0 of what's underneath? I will be doing 4 pulls

FAQ mentions using .4 ml per gram MHRB rather than 1ml. Is there a strong consensus one way or the other? I was going to do .6 ml per gram. Would more or less be recommended based on my supplies and amount of bark (100 g) used?

I am leaning towards doing the sodium carbonate wash. Any reason to skip? Is it tedious for the first time? I have a borosilicate 300ml crystallizing dish on hand.

I currently have 500 g of mimosa root bark powder. It is in a sealed Mylar bag and has an additional resealable strip. I will be using 100 g for this run. After opening and weighing out 100 grams, how would you recommend sealing the powder to minimize air exposure and humidity and keep it as fresh as possible? Is the resealable strip enough? Heat reseal? Transfer to an amber jar? I know it best to keep in a cool, dry place.

Finally, is there anything I have not mentioned that you or someone you know would have benefited from knowing?
