Dark Red Gunk?..

Hi everyone! I have been lurking the forums for a while and my friend SWIM needs some advice.

SWIM has been evaporating his naptha because he doesn't have a cold enough freezer for the freeze precipitate. Every time SWIM pulls and evaporates, He seems to find that there is usually a large portion of it that is dark red and sticky. SWIM has been avoiding scraping up the red stuff as he doesn't know what it is. He is fairly sure he didn't suck up any of the base either.. or is this base?... its always been yellow with no red.

Any help would be great.

So this red gunk has been dubbed "the retard molecule" by SWIMS friends.. :? It was definitely psychoactive.. It just felt dirty, and it made us feel retarded for a while. I wouldn't smoke it again.. I am just curious what this is.. maybe jungle?

most definitely. jungle is usually red. what'd you use to extract it?

SWIM used recochem camping fuel. I can say that SWIM felt weird for a very extended period of time. Makes SWIM wonder if it could have had either lye/naptha in it or something because the feeling felt dirty.. not like spice. It did have psychoactivity but it makes SWIM suspicious.

is swim in a location where he cant acquire naptha? like the U.K.?
i wouldnt use camping fuel my friend. thats full of stuff that you dont want to smoke. its probably the cause of your tiredness. well, that and the fact it seemed to pull more then just spice. use zippo fuel if worst comes to worst. but please, for your own safety, dont use fuel to extract, not a good idea

SWIM did research and thought that camping fuel was also naptha.. :S SWIM did do a dry evap and found no residue.. The spice SWIM extracted wasn't bad at all.. just on the second and third pull SWIM noticed a section that was red and was seperate from the forming crystals. Is SWIMs spice not safe to smoke?

I am starting to question now whether or not it is possible that SWIM might have pulled a small amount of base to get this. SWIM feels weird today and hopes that he will eventually feel somewhat normal again.. that red stuff was the devil.

well, i wouldnt say its unsafe, ive never smoked jungle spice but ive heard lots of negative things about it.
i think your ok, just try to use something a little more pure next time.

So after a couple more pulls SWIM noticed that he WAS in fact pulling small amount of base.. So this red gunk was actually base. SWIM hopes that his brain is ok after smoking that.

i just encountered this same problem. im going to try to avoid scraping any up, but i think during my first extraction i did. a ball of dmt formed in the vial im storing it in. im pretty sure thats the oil i accidentally sucked up sticking the DMT together. i take it i can get rid of all of this by recrystallization???

Yeah, what SWIM did was he dissolved what he had in warm naptha and put it in the freezer for about an hour. The bad stuff seems to go to the bottom pretty fast.. Then you just suck up that naptha and try to avoid sucking up the stuff at the bottom. You should be left with clean naptha.
