My wife use to ask , are you sure what your doing is safe ? . It's a good valid question that definitely needs consideration.
"Only if you fear death by astonishment" we say . But seriously I'm not talking about the occasional visit
I'm talking regularly 2-4 times a month sometimes more ! over many years on med - high dose ( 50-100+mg).

How can we tell ? I'm fine no negative effects , Dennis McKenna is still going strong 😊, there are others like Andrew Gallimore that appear to be doing great .

Don't get me wrong this is not something I worry about and it doesn't stop me in any way
but I am fully aware that the real answer is we don't know .

As many of you are fully aware, it's no casual walk in the park , I'm talking extremely mind bending , very few could handle.
I've never offer it to anyone and never will .

So i ebb on the side of caution and try to space my visits out , and like I am now, have a month off occasionally.

I apologize if subject is a bit of a downer but I think it's something that hasn't been talked about much , be good to hear
How other fellow guinea pigs are doing or think ?

I think it highly depends on the person in question, their relationship with the substance, and their general health. If you eat well, have a stable exercise routine and a healthy social life, it gives you much more room to explore these medicines. Harmalas work very well with DMT and mitigate many side effects like excessive tension or spikes in blood pressure.

Then comes your body's adaptability and how long you have used the substance. After some time, the body learns how to deal with your new lifestyle. Oral use has an even bigger physiological impact because it lasts longer and requires a hefty dose of harmalas, imo. Nowadays, I feel much better on the medicine and in the weeks after than I do in my day-to-day mundane life. Medicine work is an evolving process, and I think it's safe as long as you approach it with attention and care. Best of luck on your journeys.

Edit: Psychological safety is a whole other issue, and one needs to find their own balance there. Integration is important, no matter what it means for each of us.

🙏

Good words thanks , yes I agree it does depend very much on the person and there relationship with it , it's essential .
And in fact I can confidently say , rather than a negative effect its been a massive positive in my life , even life transforming . It's such a privilege.

Where I'm from - there's a book about space traveling and the meaning of life in general. Doubt it was ever translated in other languages though.

Anyhow, at some point the protagonist gets to experience the absolute mighty power - to be the god. In order to decide if he wants to stay human - or to go to the next stage of evolution.
The catch was - this power works with every person on a case by case basis depending on the level of their mental and spiritual development. One unworthy of it - won't even get to know about its existence.

I'm not drawing any parallels, just adding to the "we don't know sh@#" bucket.

The only way to know for sure - what's on the other side - is to die in this reality. Nobody comes back to tell the story.

AI has become very good at translating. You can go that route to make the book accessible to a wide audience. If you take the time to edit it a bit, it will be close enough.

I agree. The only thing I'd add is that the death could be psychological. Your body doesn't need to die, but it could feel like it did.
That new sense of reality is the topic of many stories about sages or liberated souls. They would say that they are not the body, even if from our perspective they are.
Sorry, I sound more and more like a preacher on this platform. I've faith that whatever we do just brings us to the abyss of not-knowing.
The next step is death and, yeah, nobody comes back to tell the story ;)
