Mine doesn't look like that, it always looks like the jimjam and jungle pictures in the tek.
That being said that is exactly the same color as mine is every time, maybe it is just dry air or a little over-heating.
If you try again gentler and with lower heat and still get that then there may be an impurity. If there seems to be then post back and we'll go from there.
