have access to large amount of these plants.(Delosperma cooperi) want to know a few things. not sure where to post. 1.do you have to defat.
2.can you go straight to base same as mimosa hostiliis.
3.anybody hear anything about combining it with syrian rue/b caapi to be dangerous?


also any idea about just boiling in water and drinking it? would rather smoke some and drink smaller amounts of it after extracted with syrian rue/b caapi. trying to find information on skipping the acid and defat and going straight to the lye/ then naptha/ freeze crystal/ smoke etc. thought i saw that possibly dangerous in skipping defat. ANY INFO APPRECIATED!

It seems there is a big variability in alkaloid content, some contain DMT, NMT, 5-MeO-DMT, unknown alkaloids, a mix of those or nothing at all. Please proceed with caution.

I highly recommend you to get a TLC kit or at least some ehrlich reagent to know if there at least are tryptamines in your extract.

The extracts that turned out positive for alkaloids were made with dried plant material, not sure if that will influence but might as well do it similarly.

You could try straight to base, yes, and then see what results you have from it. You can always further purify it later if you want.

I would definitely not combine with MAOIs until you are 100% sure you have only the alkaloids you want and nothing else mixed in. I'd start with STB a smallish amount of dried material, see what I have, use TLC/ehrlich, if results are positive, maybe smoke a small amount, but I'd only really consume orally with a MAOI if I was sure I only had what I wanted, if TLC only showed spots for the wanted alkaloids and nothing else, and the smoking test was fine (or pay a bit and send to EC for testing)

this. im going to do this and as long as it freezes into crystal ill smoke it see if it works/refat etc if its terrible form. before doing large batch. thanks so much.
