Desmanthus illinoensis

JungleGhost

Nocturnal Scavenger
Just got my hands on some seeds and looking for advice, tips, tricks.

From what I gather you should scarify the seeds and plant about 1/2" deep in rich soil.

Not sure about spacing...
Not sure about anything really, never even seen or heard of anyone working with this plant before...

Scarify so water can get penetrate the outer shell and soak overnight, the seeds will soak up water and visibly swell. Spacing, I'd say about 2-3 inches apart ideally, but I've had good luck just kind of scattering them more or less evenly in a large pot. This is Desmanthus leptolobus but the same idea applies (don't mind the aloe, rosemary and lavender keeping em company).
