Did my first tarot card reading

What do you guys think of tarot cards? I was always interested them but never tried them until today, I bought some at a rock shop last year.

My first reading was:
4 of cups: I believe I was dissatisfied with the gaslighting in a discord server I liked, so I left.
5 of cups: I chose to walk away from the disappointment of that server and start over.
11 of Pentacles - Knave: I enjoy nature aka animals/pets, my birds, and enjoy life but did not have responsibility until getting my birds, now I have the responsibility and purpose I lacked.
12 of swords - Knight: Ive recently made in the last year ruthless split second decisions to throw several people out of my life that werent serving me and demanded respect when for years I allowed disrespect, they were impulsive but necessary.
13 of swords - Queen: I shielded my emotions and used my mind and intelligence to deal unexpected emotional blows to the people in question to ensure their compliance and my resolve to not give in to their gaslighting and denials.

It's hard to say anything about the spread without knowing what layout you were using and the meaning of each position in the spread. Yours looks like a mini spread of some kind since you only have 5 cards. Common spreads are 10 cards.
Some general rules for interpretation: Minor arcana are more nuanced depictions of the major arcana. There are astrological correspondences as well. Most spreads have a polyvalent interpretation. A spread that is dominated by major arcana is supposedly a "big deal." Themes of numbers and suits are symbolic to the vibe and trends within a given spread.

Both the Tarot Dictionary and Compendium and Teach Yourself Tarot are great resources for beginning one's tarot journey.

In addition to not knowing which spread you used, more fundamentally, we don't know what the querent's question was.

The YouTube channel The Soul Files has a nice beginner-friendly video called “Tarot Decoded: Numerology Tricks to Understand Your Cards.” Instead of pushing yourself to memorize all 78 card meanings, it teaches you some simple techniques for understanding the cards through numerology. The channel also has several other useful tarot videos.

I’m also very pleased with the two tarot courses I bought from Astrid The Psychic Witch: Beginner Tarot and Advanced Tarot.

At the time of filming, she had around 20 years of experience with tarot and 15 years of experience as a professional tarot reader. The beginner course goes into the cards, the Major and Minor Arcana, the Court Cards, the four suits, and different spreads, including an “intuitive spread,” which seems very promising, especially since I had never really encountered that particular method before.

The advanced course goes into using the cards to perform magickal acts, as well as giving advice on how to turn tarot reading into a business venture.

I suppose there are other content creators who have published paid courses as well, but I’m not familiar with them, so I can only speak about the ones I’ve actually used.

I’ll include two images: one is the numerology table from the video I mentioned, and the other contains one word per card, which can be used to quickly become familiar with the cards.

Based on my experience, I think the 6-by-6 method is probably the easiest way to memorize the cards. At first, I planned to learn six cards per week, but after three days I realized that would be unnecessarily slow. On the second day, I learned 12 new cards. I was planning to learn 18 next, but eventually decided to learn all the remaining cards at once. So, as I said, I stuck with the 6-by-6 method even though I still had 60 cards left to learn.

I first made sure my deck was properly ordered. Then I took cards 13 through 19 and worked through them one at a time. I would hold a card, look at it, and repeat its corresponding word for about 30 seconds while letting my eyes glaze over and scan back and forth across the entire card. I repeated the same process for the other five cards in that stack.

Then I turned the cards over and tested myself by picking them up one by one and naming the corresponding word. I repeated that entire cycle three times. Afterward, I added the six new cards to the previous 12 and cycled through all 18 cards together. I then continued the same process with the remaining unlearned cards.

The trick to memorization is retrieval, repeatedly forcing yourself to retrieve the stored information.

I also have a ritual that you can perform with a tarot or oracle deck to empower the deck with the energy of the Void, as well as initiate, empower, and being transformed through each individual card in the deck. This creates a very strong connection with the deck.

This particular ritual works with the demonic entity Mammon. I suppose a similar ritual could be obtained through an angelic or nature-spirit current, although you would need to find a practitioner who works with those particular currents and can channel something for you.
