swim used both swan and ronsonol lighter fluid, both extracted crystals and had no residue left over.
no problems whatsoever:d
before swim used these he had heard countless horror stories involving the anti-lighter fuel extraction crew lol but hey he had no problems and loads others in the uk use these solvents with success thats for sure.
as for the bartoline stuff a few peeps on here have recomended it although i cant comment as have not used it.
and sorry never heard of the tetrion stuff, so any dudes with more info on that will be greatly appreciated!
It really depends on what you want it for. Bartoline should be OK for freeze precipitations but hellish for evaporating as it is a heavy naptha with a boiling point over 100C. B&Q's own white spirit is very similar but even cheaper. For evaporation you need a light naptha like Petroleum spirit 40-60C. For Shellsol I can't find it in the UK. Tetrion is similar to Bartoline etc
SWIM thinks it'll be used for freeze precipitation.
SWIM has only ever done freeze precipitations before and ended up with high yields/clean crystals and really cant understand why one would choose to evaporate over freeze precip?
Cos when all SWIY's freeze precip is done its likely that an evap is required to get the remnants. For SWIM - he likes the look of FASA, doesnt fancy his meat tasting of hydrocarbons from freeze precip
