It's come to my attention that the direct messaging function is broken so I wanted to get the word out so that people aren't feeling ignored by one another or unheard
"Conversations" works but I don't believe it's as responsive and I'm not sure about it's privacy implications for users.
One or two members have attempted to reach out to me. I get the alert. But nothing happens when you click the alert. If you do get chat to open it is devoid of any functionality. It is a blank page.
The new forum is still under work and little things like this are bound to happen until the corners are softened.
If you need to direct message your best options are within the actual public chat and initiating a private conversation there, using "start a conversation" or using the latter to negotiate the former.
I'll be cross posting this to open discussion to ensure that more members actually see this. I understand if mod/min removed either post or relocates.
