Glad you liked it. There's nothing I could have said that would've added to it. His content is superb as it is. I watched it and thought folks here would dig it.

Often I see how even my nature especially when I was younger was to project a sense of importance over whatever tools of psychedelic exploration I knew. I always felt like I may or may not be the only one with particular insight or attainment in whatever delineated journey I envisioned in my romance with them, be this journey something philosophically valid or even a senseless notion.

Regardless, one conclusion is obvious to me now, proving that nature has some kind of special relationship with us is a stretch, if not a completely senseless pursuit. On geological timescales, there are things that we remember just as profoundly as psychedelic experiences, and divine experiences have come to me in dreams as an impressionable child long before I even knew there were psychedelic chemicals.

So, just to add to this touch, it's nice to fantasize, but my feeling is that it's easy to forget just how quickly (geologically, or in the case of mushrooms, generationally) speciation can change the chemical fingerprint to something that does or does not produce an experience to us. The fact that we affix and attach to particular objects and worship them could have little to say about divinity, or at least, in order to have arguments about divinity, we must use the complete modern language that we have succeeded in agreeing upon. To nature, a permutation in the wording of a chemical's structure towards our favor, is the same as one that works nothing to our aid.

And so, mushroom cults to me are always the funniest, because as far as I know, they speciate trivially, have abundant mutagens, and so on. Despite that, there is great satisfaction in pursuing an understanding of divinity through more complex language.

Interesting though I'm having to break up watching that, there's only so long I can listen to that guy's voice!
I tend to avoid stuff like this because there's often a lot of confirmation bias that really builds up the overall idea. They have an idea and instead of testing it's veracity they try to find arguments and evidence to force it to be true, neglecting to acknowledge contradictory information or ideas. Using "facts" to doll up an idea rather than to actually substantiate it. Related to sophistry.

But I wanted to hear his voice, and @TransistorBass I feel you 🤣

One doesnt have to agree with the substance to enjoy the delivery. He is far better than half the new age preachers the internet is full of.

No refutations from you? No evidence he didn't test the veracity?

Are you not doing Exactly what you're criticizing?

I'll say his channel is well researched. I'm into this kind of stuff and he's pretty right on imo.

Lol don't flatter yourself.

Not even watching it but offering negative criticisms nonetheless.

Face-palm indeed.
I'm not doing this dance with you. I gave an opinion on a genre of content that I don't like to peruse and why. I wasn't talking about this guy or this particular video. Slow down and get over yourself if you want to hang out here because you mischaracterized my statements.

One love
