dmt and impossible knowledge

Migrated topic.
Burnt, I've got one thing I'd like to share here which may be of interest. On one journey, I came across a powerful entity. I knew that he was called "the Monkey King", and he appeared to be a very powerful monkey who had control over the very stuff of hyperspace. But I had no idea what or who the Monkey King was.

It turns out he is a well established figure in Chinese mythology, and one that I had absolutely no prior knowledge of, whatsoever.

He is an interesting character - a Monkey with a desire for knowledge and power, his ambition drives him up and forward to the point that he demands of the gods that they accept him into their ranks. But the very qualities that have brought him to this point prevent him from becoming a god, and he is trapped and tricked to limit his power.

On reading this, after the journey, I was quite shocked by how pertinent that myth was, how rich in relevance and meaning, and that I was shown an established myth of which I had no prior knowledge.

Haven't you watched the 1970s cult TV show Monkey before? It's about your guy. It's used to be on telly a lot. Great stuff!
The first episodes explain how buddha had to limit his ambitions

Yes I was looking for knowledge like ms manix described as being in the yes category. I'd like to go over things like that in more detail when we have enough reports.

Of course knowledge about the dmt experience can only be had through a dmt experience. Like how you can't describe red to a blind person you can't describe dmt without losing out on some information without experiencing the dmt experience. So yea thats not the kind of knowledge I was talking about.
Fair enough. But the kind of knowledge you’re looking for is very narrow in scope, and this should have been more explicitly stated in your original post.

Also I should add that while sometimes its highly unlikely to have certain revelations about oneself unless one takes psychedelics its not impossible. By impossible I really mean impossible. Like seeing the future / seeing things in places you were not at / gaining health knowledge. I want to understand these kind of revelations more.
There are certain personal revelations that are indeed impossible to have without the presence of entheogens in one’s system. Those revelations include our physical and psychological reactions to the entheogenic experience in general and our reactions to entheogenic-specific mind states in particular. Also, certain reactions and changes following an entheogenic experience are impossible to know otherwise.

Until you’ve actually had the prerequisite entheogenic experience, it is impossible to answer questions such as “How will I react if I see something that appears to be a being from another world?”, “How will I feel as my ego is being annihilated?”, “How is sex with an alien (regardless of the objective reality of the experience) different from sex with a human?”, “How will I think about the world differently after numerous deep experiences?”

The list goes on and on.

There may also be other sorts of personal knowledge that can be attained only via the particular brain state that entheogens bring about, but this is speculative. There may be certain neural circuits that are established during an experience that, for example, allow access to memories that are ordinarily no longer accessible due to an absence of neural connections. In a case such as this, it would be impossible to access the memories in other ways. The entheogen creates a temporary “neural bridge” that is removed after the experience is over.

Personally, my experiences have very little to do with this world, so the knowledge I gain cannot be verified or tested.

Went with yes here. But im taking DMT as psychedelics as a whole. With DMT smoked id say i saw lots of things i didnt fully understand but with no expierence with aya or pharma i cant truly say for DMT by itself. Psilocybin and psilocin mushies on the other hand yes definatly i have been shown things i could not have otherwise expierenced, and i dont mean visuals alone. I have come to realize many life lessons on mushrooms. Ive also been able to put some of those lessons into practice in my day to day life and the more trips i take the more ingrained some of those lessons become.

The original question here was "have you learned something you could not have otherwise learned without the use of DMT" if im correct. Ive noticed some ansewers received scrutiny because what might have been learned could have been tought through another means. While that is 100% true not everyone is able to open thier mind that far without the use of psyche altering tools. So wether its through the use of a drug, music, meditation, therapy ect. ect. it should be of no consequence. Further more wether i learn something cosmic or something about my self i didnt otherwise notice i have "learned" something did i not?

Actaully when I think about it, I once took a handful of mushrooms late at night and in my visons was shown an illness that I had months before it actaully manifested..and sure enough it was confirmed by doctors.

Maybe my mind was able to tap into my body and bring this up to the surface of normal conciousness..but I dont think it would have been possible without the mushrooms.

Thanks for input. I am still waiting for more response's to make categories. Since there is quite a lot of insistence and I wasn't clear in the beginning personal revelations can count as knowledge. I can just change impossible knowledge to knowledge it doesn't really obscure the information I am looking for.

So far I see the following:

personal revelations (psychological)

health revelations (both with the self and with others)

i have to look more at the other posts.
