DMT and the mainstream

I remember someone reporting a guy in a car smoking DMT while listening to some jay-z like music. Unfortunatly, I can't seem to find the thread. But I just stumbled upon, what was likely playing:

It's crossing over to mainstream culture, and I'm not sure if it's happening in a good way. Soon, there will be more than just the "Joe roegan factor".

Unfortunately there are always people out there who will abuse even the most beautiful and special things in this world.
This saddens me greatly i think Spice is precious and should be kept sacred. :(

Much Peace and Understanding

All thoughts aside, the beat is too ill... I'm a huge J Dilla fan (he's the producer of this song, RIP, that Jay Electronica dude, I never heard him before).

I like it too, it was not my intention to diss it, just to point out that DMT is breaking into the mainstream....and - there's a clear link that Joe "fucking" Rogan is the link:

DMT - the new Hiphop drug?

As long as the hip hop is abstract underground, I don´t mind. You know, the ,niggaz´ are pioneers of smoking. First pot, then crack and now it´s the spice. I wonder how this fact will mirror itself on the MTV R&B clips,. More bling & bitchez, please!

I like that song. I think this is okay as he does not directly talk about it as a recreational substance. It just depends "how" people talk about it. It is not as if it is a new substance a lot of people do know about it.
But it is a good idea to keep certain videos off of youtube to prevent the news media from abusing them. Especially extraction videos or people taking it on video.

You should definitely try smoking some DMT.

If you want to get your mind blown and see what the world has to offer there really isn't a better option.

I'm just one voice, but I wouldn't really recommend DMT. It's a sketchy drug to synthesize, and there are some serious chemicals that go into its production. It isn't the most fun experience, and this is coming from some one who enjoys psychedelics. With psilocybin or LSD you have a gradual ascent to the peak of your trip. With DMT you are dropped into the center of a goddamn warzone. As you're pulling the pipe from your lips things get very vivd very quickly. I'm talking about patterns developing on your arm and hand as you watch yourself pull the bowl back, the tiles on the ceiling all stacking up in some bizarre, irrational order. The couches begin to bend and warp, and you question just what type of reality your experiencing. What goddamn dimension am I in right now? Why is my friend looking at me? Am I some kind of labrat? An experiment? No, don't turn on this type of music... I'm not your guinea pig, don't try and trip me out even further with this dissonant nonsense.

It's just kooky. Some people may like that quality... me, not so much. Oh, and I also saw a kid pass-out and proceed to fish out after taking it one time. He was shrieking "NO! NOOOOO!" I was heavily involved with an acid trip at the time and was in no mood for that business.

Please please please do some DMT, the most powerful psychedelic.

Oh well...

I don't get it?
But to be fair, I didn't last through the whole vid...

Is this dudes name Dymetheltryptamine? Or is the song called that?
Or is it just a word that sounded cool, so a hip-hop dude picked it up?

Either way, that's too bad!!
Once the hip-hop scene grabs a hold of something, it gets turned into the next big trend in fashion weapons & then run into the freaking ground until the entire world is sick to fucking death of seeing & hearing about it!!!!!! "nowatimsain"

recent example: remember people who would not stop saying "drop it like it's hot"!!:?

Man that is disappointing!!

Heh, it certainly would humble a lot of rappers out there, that's for damn sure ;)
That's a seriously good point!

Like, hip hop has changed so much since it discovered ecstacy. The music's sped up and got more fun and less aggressive, and now you see little gs wear pink puffers and raving alongside electro-indy kids. If rappers started smoking DMT, the effects could be awesome. Popular black music could be saved from all things gangsta and bling, maybe it could be back to the good old uplifting days, like the old funk and soul days, freeing the mind from mental slavery and all that (excuse the Marley quote from his slow days, I prefer his early dancey stuff)!!!

Public Enemy have a lot to answer for, facilitating destruction from within just after things had got better for black people from without

(P.s. I don't think very highly of any negative music, death metal and whingey emo as well as gangsta and bling. All whingers and haters should smoke the holy deemster! DMT should belong to everybody, I don't believe it could be abused, it burns those who try soon enough.)

That was fucked, psychedelics and music go so well together it's a shame to see such little effort put into "art"

I don't know if you guys listen to much underground hip-hop, but KiD CuDi's new album Man on The Moon is real psychedelic, he references mushrooms and cannabis plenty and the production/style/lyrics are all full of psychedelic values. But, even more underground is Bobby Ray's (B.o.B.'s) most recent mixtape B.o.B. vs Bobby Ray. The whole Bobby Ray side of the tape is an allegory for a mushroom trip (It proceeds from coming up to peaking to waking up the following morning, I actually wrote out an analysis of the lyrics and themes) and there are poetically veiled references to mushrooms definitely and potentially dmt as well. The music is amazing here's a couple tracks:

Enjoy

*raises an eyebrow* underground hip-hop artists don't typically play MTV's VMA awards, but i'll give him a listen

hmm...bobby ray is on atlantic records

(benz scorns pop music) mainstream hip-hop all went to shit with one word from the hot boys..."bling". now caucasian reporters even say it, as well as moms and pops, without even knowing where it came from (around the corner in N.O.)

hip hop is seriously throbbing with hard core materialist consumer culture its good to see that some one is promoting somethign that can break that into fucking pieces...

listen to this too

..havent listened to this stuff in so long..now Im gunna be playing it for days!..this guy seriousily influenced me quite a bit for a period of time when I was writing alot.
