DMT Art - Relevance of see-thru people

I have noticed the human body is see through in most DMT art. Does this have to do with body deconstruction, and does this usually happen during an experience? Thanks
 
Swims pretty new to DMT and has only taken it a handful of times, but a vaped sub-breakthrough dose of will certainly make the skin appear transparent with the blood seming to be visible as it flows through the veins just beneath the skin.

A strong pharma trip has made the bones in swims hands appear to be visible beneath the skin.

A much higher dose than that and the body starts to fall away. Swim has not yet had a full breakthrough but his strongest vaped trip made his body seem to "fold into itself" and all external distances seem to expand to near infinity.
 
I have had an outer body experience from taking mushrooms before, but have not yet had complete 'ego loss' from DMT as of yet.

But yeah with higher doses in a breakthrough experience a lot of the time ones sense of 'I' disintegrates and awareness of the physical body is lost completely. In lower doses I would say this is more uncommon, generally their is /more/ awareness & you get a 'body load.' I can't speak for everyone, though in lower doses I get a warm energized feeling through my body & I feel 'locked' into it, sometimes even like I'm being submerged under warm water.
 
There is a certain zone where I have been able to see through my hands and arms. At the time when it happened its scared the living
' you know what outa me" and was just part of a larger general freek out that was taking place. It was part of a big one where i thought i had been permanently transformed into a human alien hybrid of some kind.
 
I never looked at a real person while on a high dose of vaporized dmt, both because I think closed eyes is the way to go (on breakthroughs I wouldnt be able to tell whats closed or opened eyes), and also because nearly all the times I vaporized it, I was alone. But I definitely did observe see-through beings and life forms in hyperspace.
 
I was thinking about it, and in artwork, people may be portrayed that way to convey a figurative sense of transparency. You're not seeing the mask that is the person, but rather the person him/herself, and also perhaps to convey a sense of vulnerability without our defensive barriers up. Just some theories.

I wouldn't say the body seems transparent, per se, just that I can see all of the inside of it at once sometimes. Like I can see my heart, and the inside of my lungs or my chest or my brain, or my blood vessels, all doing their thing in fully fractalized technicolor.

Good to know who did that. I am wondering about tool. Do they like DMT? All their art looks like it so I assume...
 
I watched an interview with Maynard from Tool talking about drugs.

He said that the drugs are there to find that special place and then we spend the rest of our lives trying to find that place again without the drugs.

I've never heard him talk openly about DMT specifically but most of their songs from later in their career definitely seems enlightenment oriented.

It's like he drops little breadcrumbs in the lyrics and it's up to us to pick them up and use them.

Wow, you're right. It's like those lyrics explicitly describe DMT without using the specific label
