My DMT freebase doesn't seem to be very soluble in my 99% IPA when I try to make changa. is this normal? or could it be a contaminant that isn't dissolving?

Hmm. That is very odd. Spice should dissolve in IPA very easily. What percentage of your product is not dissolving and how much spice/IPA are you working with?

Maybe the IPA is too cold, or your DMT is too compact, or you didnt use enough IPA or give enough time. Or maybe you just have unrealistic expectations ?

Either way if its IPA and DMT, it will work. Use some little spoon or whatever to break up your DMT and help it mix better, and/or use a warm bath (no fire!) to warm it up a bit and it's gonna dissolve.

If you're unsure whether your IPA is IPA or has some weird impurity, well, thats the first thing you should check before using any new solvent :D

Thats odd. In my experience ipa is really good at dissolving spice. Are you working with some nice size crystals or is it powdery?
