It's great that you've decided to begin extracting your own DMT! The best advice I can give you is to be pure in your intent, and pure in your practice. The more respect you give the spice, the more you will get out of it.
Thoroughly clean all your equipment before extracting to avoid any contamination. Also, go slowly at first and be fully conscious of what your doing. You will probably have to refer often to your Tek of choice (though you should have it memorized), so keep it handy. I may at this point recommend Noman's tek, as for my first extraction I used both Lazyman's and Noman's teks, and found the freeze precipitation to give much better crystals.
You should start thinking about how your going to smoke the spice that you will extract. I have recently had success with "The Machine", can't can't recommend it enough. It is very simple to make and operate, and is great for getting all you can out of your first "mini" extraction. You can easily find instructions on fabrication in the Nexus Wiki should you choose to do so.
And of course, always wear protective equipment. NaOH will do some serious damage if it comes in contact with living tissue. Get a decent pair of goggles, thick chemical gloves, as well as a dust mask and always wear them when handling the mixture. You will often be tempted to remove the equipment thinking you don't need it for that split second, put that's when shit hits the fan, so to speak!
