Is there any way to test for water in the IPA?
Infundibulum said:Edit; tell SWIY that any IPA that was used to wash the fumarates should not be thrown away! it most certainly carries actives (a bit of dmt fumarate and maybe more of the other alkaloids, whose fumarate salts have unknown solubility in IPA).
Use the wash-IPA to make more FASI!

Of course; just mix the limo:IPA with plenty of water and shake. The IPA will dissolve in the water and limo will float on the top. Repeat the water washing and ready to go.narmz said:Is it possible to separate the limo from the IPA after doing the extraction so that the limo could be re-used?

(SWIM has never done this with limo:IPA, but this is how he's done it in the past with DCM:methanol and xylene:acetone in the past)
