DMT IS GOOEY? HELP

Hi guys I followed the STB extraction using the 1lb of MHRB per jug, mix lye with water and the naptha pulls... the problem i had is the TEK asked for 4 pulls of of naptha i did 2 left it in the water becuase i ran out and did it next day....

i got the end result in the fridge it looked like the picture but there was still alot of liquid left so i had to pour alot out

then a little bit later it started to goo....

What should i do? its in the freezer now or should i let it dry it somehow? I left it out for a bit but it didnt dry.... and im kind of confused on how to do the recrystalization....

is it basically warm water up with dmt in it than add naptha to it and seperate the solvent from the dmt after?

please help !

What you have there is easy to work with. you could easily dissolve all of that in some warm naphtha evap the Naphtha until it starts to cloud up and then freeze frecipitate it.

Another option would be to dissolve it in some warm Naphtha and do a slow eveap of it. By the looks of what you have you would probably get some nice large shards out of that.

You could also just let it evap dry and then re-x it, or just let it evap dry and vape it like it is.

Yea throw that in a warm water bath and just dissolve it down, you can stick it in the freezer, or before you do that after all spice is dissolved, try to pippette out the yellow goo and the bottom of whatever you are using, then freeze it and some time later, you should have some beautiful looking spice.

No. Don't put it in water.
Dissolve it in as little naptha as it will dissolve in and freeze precipitate that.
You just pulled some extra (highly active) plant gunk by letting it sit.
White alks should precip out leaving you with yellow naptha that evaporated down will yield some crazy jungle goo.
Don't throw anything away - there's lots of actives left to be had.

naphtha melts certain plastics. you need to use glass during the extraction. you can use some types of plastic but milk jugs are not safe. they melt very easy. just a suggestion.

IME & IMHO what you have in your jug is fine. Taking it out of the jug and puting it in a wide mouth jar, like a 1 quart mason jar , would help.

Then just follow ANY of the options listed below and you will be fine.

From what i knew many have freeze precip in HDPE container jugs even my cat, what hes got there can easily be cleaned up.

I would recommend moving your spice into a jar but the plastic jug its in now should be just fine as long as it is a HDPE plastic container. I prefer to use canning jar for extracts and a few 1/2 gallon canning jars would work perfect for this size of extraction you are doing.

Anyway your extraction looks fine. You just gotta do a simple clean up on it. Follow one of the options I gave you above and you'll get some beautiful looking product.

Believe it or not there are plenty of people out there who use em, especially for larger extractions. Milk jugs are used by some for the entire extraction start to finish. This is not uncommon.

You might want to spend a little time in the wiki brushing up on this subject before you go telling someone not to use the stuff they just extracted because its not safe.

Now, I may be going out on a limb here but, I am assuming this person has done his homework and is using HDPE #2 plastic, which is what most, if not all, milk jugs are made of.

i tried milk jugs and they gave me a nasty orange subs. that's why i stoped. im not stepping on anyone's toes i just had bad exp. that's all. im new also so that's why im concerned . i don't want someone taking something that might be unsafe. if they did a reX im sure they would be fine. i just wouldn't trust the product they had originally came out with. clean it up first , thats all im saying:roll:

But i should redissolve in a little bit of hot naphta ( the less , the better )
then make a solution with sodium carbonate ( cleaning salt, depends where u live )
mix the naphta and the sodium carbonate and shake the hell out of it. Any residual lye will dissolve in the aquaous layer.
Decant the naphta and freeze precip again.
Then let it dry dry dry, it can takes some time ( days ) but it will dry believe me.
i also got the same problem, just give it some more time to dry!

ok i did all the sodium carbonate before and the last process the tek said to let it freeze

im just confused on the R X... do i boil water add naptha and just put the dmt in it? and then what remove the liquid and keep the chunks?

when ppl say evaperate just leave it out to dry? cuz i tred that and it didnt do anything but stay as goo

yeah the milk jugs are perfectly fine to use as the TEK used them... and if its anything that would burn through it would of been the lye with the water in the first process ....they withstood that perfectly fine

okay the warm water bath is basically the re X right? whats the diff between re X and freeze participate dont u gotta freeze it after u re X it?

so do i basically just boil water then add naptha than add the dmt, then pour the liquid out and keep the chunks?? or am i supposed to let it just sit and dry out?

okay so disolve it in warm naptha do i do that by boiling the water than adding naptha? so after that i just let it sit out there until it gets cloudy then freeze it?

isnt that basically RE X but with Re X i pour out the liquid and freeze it? or how im kind of confused
