DMT IS GOOEY? HELP

Hi guys I followed the STB extraction using the 1lb of MHRB per jug, mix lye with water and the naptha pulls... the problem i had is the TEK asked for 4 pulls of of naptha i did 2 left it in the water becuase i ran out and did it next day....

i got the end result in the fridge it looked like the picture but there was still alot of liquid left so i had to pour alot out

then a little bit later it started to goo....

What should i do? its in the freezer now or should i let it dry it somehow? I left it out for a bit but it didnt dry.... and im kind of confused on how to do the recrystalization....

is it basically warm water up with dmt in it than add naptha to it and seperate the solvent from the dmt after?

please help !

OK we have two directions we can go here

Evap or freeze precipitate.

Either way what I would do First is put the material in a wide mouth glass container and add warm Naphtha to it until it is completely dissolved.

I would use warm naphtha because it holds more spice than cold naphtha.

I would warm the naphtha by putting it in a glass jar and warming it by puting the jar in a hot water bath. So what I mean is...Boil some water put that water in a tub or a big mixing bowl, then take your glass jar of naphtha and put it in the hot water allowing the naphtha to warm up through the glass.

once the naphtha is warm use it to dissolve the dmt.

What you are attempting to accomplish is, you want a wide mouth glass vessel of DMT rich naphtha.

Now you can take this naphtha DMT solution and- evap it slowly at room temperature until all you have left is DMT crystals and oils/fats or you can freeze precipitate it.

In order to freeze to freeze precip

allow your warm dmt/naphtha solution to cool to room temp, then put it in the refridgerator for a couple of hours then put it into the freezer for about 48 hours
this should get all of the available goodness out.

okay so disolve it in warm naptha do i do that by boiling the water than adding naptha? so after that i just let it sit out there until it gets cloudy then freeze it?

isnt that basically RE X but with Re X i pour out the liquid and freeze it? or how im kind of confused

What you want to do is
1 heat up water and put it in small bowl
2 get a shot glass or small glass container that will fit in your bowl
3 add naphtha to shot glass and put it in your hot water bath.
4 once it all dissolves you will notice yellow at the bottom, pipette it out or whatever way you can to separate the yellow goo from your naphtha
5 once you got out as much as you can freeze the cloudy naphtha and that's it good luck

and be safe

so if i let it sit at room temperature i dont need to seperate the solvent from the dmt? itl just form to crystals?

okay so i boil water put it in a bowl, put naptha in a glass gar , put that in the water than add the dmt into the npatha jar? let it disolve .... then do i seperate the naptha from whatever the gunk will be at the bottem

and put the naptha not the gunk in the fridge then freezer?

what is the yellow goo that is going to be serpated is that useless?

If you put enough warm Naphtha in it, most of the goo should "dissolve"

There might be a little red plant oil left at the bottom but.... Dood your making this way to difficult.


Here is the procedure straight off the wiki-

If a solvent with a lot of different solutes dissolved in it cools down slowly, the different solutes will precipitate individually. Naptha will work for this but heptane is better. Heptane is available as Bestine – a rubber cement remover.

Place a glass container with the DMT and a glass container of the recrystallization solvent together in a pan of hot water. Shot glasses in a saucepan work well for a gram or two. The fumes from whatever solvent you use will be extremely flammable, so don’t use a gas stove or light a bowl or be otherwise stupid. The DMT will already be melting if the water is hot enough. Add the hot solvent little by little (eye-dropper), agitating until all of the DMT is dissolved. Use as little solvent as possible. It should take only about 20–30mL of solvent per gram of powder. The solvent will be a clear yellow.

Leave the pan of water with the DMT container to cool to room temperature. Remove the DMT container and cool in the refrigerator, then the freezer. You will end up with DMT crystals of varying purity atop a pellet of slag which still contains quite a bit of DMT. Filter the solvent and separate the crystals from the slag. The crystals can be refined in one or two more recrystallizations into pure clear DMT if desired. The slag can also be further refined or simply redissolved into the next batch. The solvent can be reused or evaporated down and the residue scraped and cleaned.

And don’t forget to scrub those jars and utensils with your favorite smoking herb!

Okay the only the I don't get is I get two Answers seperste the goo from bottom from the solvent then freeze the solvent or second just freeze the whole thing then separate?

I would say if you are still having troubles look in the Wiki Section, there is a lot of useful information.

Most of your goo Should dissolve but any left over take it out, you can leave it if YOU want, but to get some clean spice separate the two. then you freeze it.

The goo normally stays on the bottom of the shot glass, which makes pouring the solvent into a new container really easy. I use a second shot glass sometimes or a glass jar to then put into freezer to precipitate the goods. Here is the pictorial i used the first time i did it and it was a piece of cake. If you don't get the process after reading this, i suggest doing some more research before continuing. I researched about DMT and extractions everyday for about a year before buying the bark. The research made it so much easier!

6. The hot naphta you have now should be cleared from the yellow

THANK YOU I GET IT NOW....see i was confused becuase some said dont seperate put it fridge some say seperate and put solvent in fridge but keep the goo becuase you can use it again ( and all i wanted to know in order to reuse the goo do i do another re x of the goo to see if it can get more)?

Okay so I boiled water and currently the dmt is in the naphtha although not all of it is gone some
Brownish yellow is still there... Now I'll seperate then freeze

okay so i did the rE x put it freezer i saw crystals form...i waited a few days... ammount looked the same i took it out poured the naptha into a bottle... dried out the dmt/crystals/goo.... there is now less than what it appeard in the fridge and more goo started to form so i re x it again now its sitting in the freezer


but when i took the first jar out the firdge and pourd the naptha into the bottle i put the bottle in the the fridge and i noticed more white crystals forming...i poured the naptha into another jaw... and the bottle had the crystals but they melted they are stuck on the bottle and i have to scrape at it to barley get some....

what could i have done wrong?? i mean we smoked it and man it was DMT but what seemed like alot is now barley nothing..... ill upload pics

also the brown gunk what is that is there any dmt or is it just mhrb mixed with other crap

also the GOO from the original re X ... i put that in the fridge what can i do with it should i RE X it again?

after i did the RE X i saw the crystals they were white.. then when it dried they starte to melt and now stickign on the jar..it wasnt as much as it was whenn it was in the freezer... is that normal?
