DMT looks like water drops.

Ok so this is my DMT after an extraction with naptha and freeze precipitation. What did I do wrong? If you can't tell from the picture it looks almost like water drops or condensation.

It looked perfectly fine in the freezer with naptha still on it. Then I poured off the naptha and left it upside-down in the freezer for a while then moved it to room temperature and set it in front of a fan to dry. Around 30 mins later I check on it and it looks like this :surprised

There definitely was spice in it after I poured off the naptha. I'm thinking its water from the glass? What do I do with my DMT if its mixed with water? :?

hmm,. did it look like a nice snow globe when in the freezer?
did it have little crumb looking things falling out of the naptha and gettin stuck to the glass?



when dmt is in water, add naptha and decant off so it separates from water,


water will freeze and look white, at the bottom of the naptha jar,

i tend to be really picky about that, and make sure i leave no water,
even though its not much of a problem,


what tek did you use?
and what was your ratio?

Yeah there were crystals on the bottom this was my 3rd pull from a STB tek. It was 50glye 50gMHRB 750ml water and around 45ml naptha I think. I'm probably just going to evap from now on, freeze precip is causing a lot of problems :/

Sorry to say that wasnt DMT but ice crystals you had. I had the same thing happen to me the first time. Were you using powdered or shredded mhrb?

Air dry if you're having problems. I did and mine came out amazing.

Heres what I've used, in the picture its just a glass cup and I put tin foil over the top for a cover, I have also used pyrex glass bowls which are quite big. Is tin foil alright for the cover? Or is that my problem? I have been looking for mason jars because they have been mentioned a lot but I can't find any! Should I not bother with them then?

You gotta give some more information. If it smells like dmt and if it feels like a viscous liquid then it is very likely dmt; and if it burns your tongue, then you bet your ass there's dmt in there.

But if it feels like water, tastes like water and smells like water etc, then it is very likely water

Use your other senses as well to describe what you got, not only vision, and report back.

Smells like the rest of the DMT swim got also burns on swims tongue.

Try to scrape up all droplets with a razor blade. Then once you have a big pile of goo you can stick it in the fridge and let it harden. It will be easier to use then. Or you could recrystalize the goo to try to separate it from the oils. If you do a re-x, don't throw away the oils when you decant! Mix it with some herbs or something because it's highly active.

This droplet thing happened to me also. but within every droplet I saw a small matrix of crystals. My theory is the droplets are fats/oils from the bark that was absorbed by the solvent. Probably because the weather is so hot that it made the solvent absorb a bigger spectrum of chemicals from the bark.

But if it smells like spice then there's some in there. :thumb_up:
