I think that I would agree with you in part…but only in part because they also seem to go after super defenceless low hanging fruit and other people see it. It often seems presented with total abandon of any moral framework. It’s shameful.

I don't know about other cases (I'm not particularly informed or interested), but in this case the presumed target, Lykos and MAPS, seem to be extremely well defended by a media behemoth...

Eh, the forum is fine. However, it's not divorced from the world, so if things are occurring out there they're likely to affect what occurs here.

Well I'm not here to debate about my emotions being more simple or complicated or prove them to be more right or wrong. It's just that I know of issues where people like to think and say things like "here is the document I can read from and show you that proves I should have you convinced to pick a side and stop a swing or a pivot of wings and things or have healthy birds in reality. And people often do not understand what they're wanting their heads stuck into. I will digress and wander off where I don't try to mention what I can see and understand without proving that it's a more spamless context to put the subject into without illogical misunderstandings that cause people to be all up in arms trying to censor and control freak things into on off position anytime they don't trust etc. Other than that these are simply not my issues and I only need tissues when I blow my own nose while skipping KlonoPinocchios. I'm sorry that for some people it's a psychological projection game of 'oh this might be handy for us if we can censor and control it until we're sure it fits into our chosen wobbling agenda that lacks equilibrium when more quantity of people demand impact on what exactly anything can mean or be accepted as. Some do trip out with lack of sobriety and I can't get words in edgewise quietly enough while it's trying the stuff. I guess I am too rough or too much and sometimes things can't be not enough in the convenient way and people don't know when to not worry as opposed to drumming up some togetherness worrying syndrome, but what does it really necessarily have to do with me so no big deal at all then. No worries.

In an Article in the new york times, over 48 people accuse psymposia including a DMT-nexus moderator associated with psymposia, of highly unethical behaviour that destroyed their lives and careers.
Mostly through false accusations (of the most terrible things) on social media, but also by sending letters containing the most terrible false accusations to the employers of targeted people.

Sadistically, and quite telling as well, the DMT-nexus moderator and his spouse refer to these tactics as "an opportunity for learning and growth" for the people targeted.

Here are some juicy quotes:

"It's members have become feared for their ability to use social media to damage reputations and careers"
"Many asked not to be named for fear of retaliation"
"Their work is glaringly political and biased, and it relies too much on shock effect, bad-faith readings of others, and questionable assertions and assumptions"
"The group has become known for it's take-no-prisoners approach"
"They've hurt people like me ten times more than any of the good work they think they're doing"

The nexus moderator is specifically named repeatedly in this article. As someone also relying on these tactics.

There are other newspaper articles where he is also being accused of sometimes extreme physical violence, like placing potentially lethal boobytraps in squatted buildings, using hazardous chemicals and explosives.

On this site, he once claimed to have the right to destroy other peoples' personal belongings for the sake of activism because the whole concept of property is more violent to him than the destruction of property. When he was asked if this also applied to properties belonging to himself, he got extremely angry and called this question outragious and the person asking the question an agressor for threatening to destroy his property. This is putin-level hypocrisy, but seemingly, no one noticed. He also claimed that he would even be morally in the right if he would choose to murder babies, if this murdering of babies would result in something positive.

He also uses an alias that is nearly identical to that of another psychedelic researcher.

I am firmly convinced that this person is an evil, sadistic psychopath, and that he was tolerated as a moderator here, mostly out of fear. A sort of stockholm syndrome. Another nexus moderator for instance, once told me that this man always responded agressively when questioned and that it was therefore better never to question him.
He regularly preached violence here, that got seemingly unnoticed. I suspect that, as is often the case with stockholm syndrome, other moderators simply did not want to see any of this, to prevent the total shitstorm that would innevitably ensue when these posts wóuld have been questioned.

personally, i have also experienced his extreme agression. The most shocking part of this experience was that he could say the most terrible things, or could downright contradict himself every next sentence, and that no one else would ever call out his glaring hypocrisy or glaring violations of nexus guidelines. That is something that still shocks me to this day to be honest.

I love this site, but i feel i simply have to adress this, even if it would result in a suspension or ban. I won't hold any kind of grudge if i would be banned or suspended. I understand that a team of moderators cannot allow an attack on another moderator. But i just hád to adress this issue.

IMO most of our societal problems are fake, everyone just is just held in a very poor frame of mind through media mind control. Using anxiety to keep you addicted to the terrible news, be it boogeymen that the woke crowd will protect, and feed you dopamine in the form of memes to break the dread and outrage to keep you doomscrolling and hitting those ads. Theres 8 billion people in this world and at any given time only 3 or 4 truly awful grand-scale things are happening. an optimist would tell you that out of nearly 200 countries in the world, 3 great disasters occuring simultaneously is not even 2% by geographical borders, let alone the actual number of people suffering because of it, or merely eligible to have potentially been impacted it by population-count (like how many people live within 300 miles of that tornados path, not 0.01% of the global population). the world is more peaceful and easy to live in than its ever been in history, debatably even recent history.

Yep, billions of people pulled out of poverty in about 100 years.
However, this doesn't make issues "fake." 8 billion people on the planet, but you didn't mention that 80% of them live on less the $10.00 a day. So while huge disasters aren't happening all over the place, there's still work to do.

Kinda looks like we are heading backwards atm with wages stagnating, prices increasing…homelessness and poverty seem to be rising in every PNW city i visit. The supe wealthy are wealthy to a level that is unprecedented. This is despite all the advances we have made.

It’s not so great in many ways, but it’s also not so bad in other ways. I can’t imagine more fighting leads to less fighting. I can’t imagine doing nothing leads to something.

I read that article (and others) and found none of OP's assertions:

Furthermore, OP's other "juicy highlights" and accusations are either vague or wild in the extreme, but without citation. Surely there's readily available evidence of this baby killing, explosive-wielding moderator that can be shared with the rest of us?

But also, why is a former moderator who supposedly got locked out of their account making these posts months after all of this fracas played out across social media, forums, the news, etc?

Hi there people. I am an old DMT nexus member. I was even a moderator on this site. But then i took a long break of i don't even know how long, and since then i haven't been able to acces my old account. I suspect my old account may even have been hacked or something, since i had a relatively simple password.

As a bit of an aside, I quite like blig-blug's point about article framing and the police:

Bonus point: the article presents "writing critical articles about the police" as something so obviously bad that it can be used to attempt to discredit someone without further comments. Users of the Nexus that love the police, raise your hand. And maybe send them some pictures of your extractions, they will be interested!

The OP is kind of an OG on the forum, and I know where their gripes are coming from. Sometimes we vent personal stuff here, sometimes because there's irony. Whats funny to me is how many people took the hook with the bait in this thread.

Six years ago, i was involved in these shitstorms i mentioned. Because i criticised his views i was labeled a white supremacist out of nowhere. My criticisms where actually quite modest and nuanced and not unreasonable in any way: my main point was even that the antifa riots where damaging to the BLM movement. I don't see how that can be interpreted in any way as the things mentioned.

I thought that probably some people would come to defend me and say at least something like :"look, i may disagree with this guy, but he's none of the things you mentioned". But no one did. I started to question myself. Had i said something along the way, that could have been interpreted as such? Did i without knowing it use a word that is a rightwing dogwhistle? I don't know everything. I don't find the far right so interesting that i know of all of their latest dowhistles.

Did people maybe realy belief i was a white supremacist? I felt so uneasy every time i logged in. I could see who was around, and everytime i saw someone i asked myself:"does he or she think i'm a white supremacist?" Or:"do people feel unsafe around here when they see me?".

I felt ashamed even, of being painted in such a light.

Then, while the guy had been going though hell and high waters for pages on to make it perfectly clear that activists like him are free to destroy anybodies belongings and that by critisizing him i'm supporting fascism, when i'm asking if that rule also applies to his properties, he says it's a disgrace that i'm threatening to destroy his properties and that i'm an agressor.

I found this 180 degree turn so remarkable that i knew that for sure, some people would come and point it out to him.
And that also didn't happen.

The only reason for me to start this thread, is that i don't want to be angry at everybody anymore. Yes, i have also felt some anger towards some people here.
But i don't want to be angry towards everybody anymore, but just at this guy.

As a forum onlooker/participant, I think it's helpful to understand this isn't so much about the wild and unsubstantiated claims you've made throughout this thread, but rather a personal grievance you have with someone else on the forum. Have you considered reaching out to him directly in addition to publicly venting your anger from a six-year-old forum interaction? That seems like a long time to be stewing on internet drama, but it sounds like it really upset you.

From your post it sounds like you may prefer to harbor your anger rather than resolve things which is perfectly fine if that's what you want. I'm sorry to hear you've got so much anger inside of you. I've been there before. Finding productive ways to work through it has been helpful for me, but I understand that we all have to walk our own paths. I wish you well even as I question your approach to this thread.

The member in question doesn't frequent the forum anymore and even if they did, it would not go over well (again, I know who they are).

While potentially posted in poor form, this is something for various reasons that really bothered the OP. Considering it happened here with more members than the one in question makes it appropriate to have vented it here.

But it was a clear vent. There was nothing in the OP that sought discussion. And many highlighted that. No one really needed to say anything

Well, sorry. Perhaps I'm antenna sucking what has drastic misunderstandings and having it cause my own about who I think is thinking what while some of them maybe don't enough know what I'm thinking. Gonna get my peace in life and do it from that somewhat contrasting vantage point. It is a powerful suggestion to feel suggested that one should host and channel some sort of acceleration towards a potential increased unity while always partly having a divide and conquer effect that is opposite of your intentions. I think at this point a lot of people don't understand what they have. Though I do understand what I have I feel I'm perfectly good at putting my own contributions in the strike zone and then my baseball diamonds might not be forever for everyone when they're not necessarily forever for me either. I never wanted to be somebody being confusing nor one getting confused in some sort of a not quite accurate and efficient enough game of MK-Ultra Moral Kombat.

I agree. I was trying to avoid going into any of the personal issues in the post on purpose, and limiting my comments to the linked article. To me there is little doubt that the linked article is a hit piece, for already mentioned reasons. But that doesn't mean that the mod didn't make those comments here, and in that case it's unacceptable behavior.
