DMT Oxide

iv done a search and couldn't find much, appoligies if this has already been answered.


i have about 2g of dmt that became oxidized after a re-x i did, i let it evap slowly to grow large chrystals.


my question is, if i re-disolve and freeze precip will it still be the yelloowish dmt oxide?

and also, why is dmt oxide undesirable? (if it is) is it harsh to smoke? different effects? not as pure?

Hello,

The oxide is basically just as good. Some people say the effects are a little different but not much. The purity is only in the slight degradation. Also, the yellow could simply be plant fats and oils from MHRB and not oxide, so it's hard to say.

Honestly I would just smoke it as is. You can recrystallize and freeze if you want, but it might be extra work considering it's good to go right now.

thanks for the reply. the spice was white as snow before i tried growing crystals so its gotta be oxide.

im a non-smoker (in the general sense) and i have asthma so nice clean dmt is fine but if the dmt oxide is a little harsh id end up coughing through the whole experience.

It might also be that the harshness is from trapped solvent inside your crystals. I recommend redissolving in non-denatured ethanol or acetone and re-evaporating. The results will be more waxy and not so nice-looking crystals, but who cares about how it looks if its gonna be inside the pipe and if its your health at stake, right?

Try it at least with a part of your batch and let us know if you think its worth it.
