DMT through the mucus membranes of the mouth?

If you can do DMT anally, couldn't you do it orally, as with chewing tobacco and alow it to go through the mucus membranes of the mouth? And perhaps you wouldn't need an MAOI.

hmmm... under the tongue - has best blood supply for that but not sure if it'd be an effective way of ingesting it, with regards the crystals and their solubility in saliva. ie, it needs to be dissolved to be absorbed. you could try drinking naptha-dmt solution with an maoi?? haha. no. don't.

After thinking about this a little more, I feel convinced this could work. If DMT can cross the membranes in the nasal cavity, anal cavity and the stomach/ intestine, why not under the tongue? Perhaps an ethanol tincture would help speed op sublingual absorption. Any one willing to give it a try (or send me heaps of DMT to experiment with)?

being the conservative person I am I would start with 50mg and work up in 25mg increments. I think you would get at least threshold effects with 50mg. The most difficult thing about it would be sucking on the dmt butter long enough for the dmt to be absorbed. I once sucked up a very small piece of crystal on accident..my mouth burned like fire!!! that was horrible! I could not imagine trying to let 50mg dissolve under the toungue

I wonder if the salt would taste different than the freebase though? Especially if dissolved in lemon juice. If there was a practical way to ingest dmt without an MAOI (other than smoking or injection), I bet it would give us a psychedelic with a shorter duration- perhaps 1 to 2 hours which could be useful in certain circumstances. To my knowledge there is no current psychedelic with this time course.

I can't imagine it would be much of an improvement; salts like amphet sulphate and mdma still smart like hell.

i've not yet looked into the salt form...freebase is tricky enough to master, lol
