Does any biologist here know which plant contains DMT in Nepal?

Hello, I'm from Nepal and I can't find Mimosa hostilis or Acacia confusa here. Does any biologist happen to know what other plants contain DMT? Extraction should be relatively easy as I used to fail in my organic chemistry classes.

Also, if anyone helps me out with the extraction process, if you happen to come to Nepal, I'll gift you a handful of shrooms. :lol:

There's various extensive lists of DMT-containing plants both on our wiki (albeit, sadly, with no direct reference to Nepal) and strewn across the internet. It's a case of matching that list off against a flora of Nepal. Can you find Codariocalyx motorius in your country, perhaps? Do other Acacias grow at lower elevations, maybe? How about Mucuna pruriens?

Another possibility is taking the long road and obtaining seeds of a known DMT-producing plant and growing your own. Phalaris grasses might be worth looking into both for cultivation and for wild harvesting since they are fairly ubiquitous.

As far as extraction goes, it barely qualifies as organic chemistry since it doesn't involve any actual synthesis. (I say that by way of reassurance ) Everything you need to know is likely already here. Toshido, for example, has written a rather comprehensive method fairly recently which incorporates much of the accumulated wisdom of the past decades, albeit using MHRB.

I was staying on a farm near Begnas Lake in Nepal. I picked a random book off the book shelf and opened it to a random page.. to my surprise it fell on Acacia Nilotica (IIRC) and even said "Alkaloids - DMT". I think they like to grow in slightly higher elevations.

and yes Mucuna pruriens is easy to get.. is the extraction process same as with MHRB??.. I want to try DMT so badly man :lol:
