Does Heptane go off?

Does Heptane degrade over time & go off.
Its an aromatic hydrocarbon 'similar to' petrol which degrades over time so I'm wondering.

hydrocarbons are susceptible to oxidation, like a lot of compounds.
it's only in the presence of strong oxidizers when they become unstable and reactive (boom)
