Does Mescaline HCL Dissolve in Ice Cold Anhydrous MEK??

AFOAF recently took 2 grams of Mesc HCL that was about a year old(Had been tightly packed in Gel-Caps and stored at room temp in the dark)and since he recently accquired a Mortar and Pestle decided to do an Ice Cold Anhydrous MEK wash on it while crushing it as fine as possible in the mortar and pestle...

He did this in the freezer in a Mortar and Pestle that was also sitting in the freezer for couple of hours...he then decanted off the MEK and poured Hot water over the cleaned Mesc HCL crystals to dissolve them and then evaped the hot water to recover the cleaned Mesc HCL...

AFOAF had previously done two Ice Cold Anhydrous Acetone and two Ice Cold Anhydrous IPA washes on this 2 grams before gel-capping it but did not have the mortar and pestle to crush completly at the time...

After filtering and evapaing the MEK the evaped crystals left were very brown and not bitter at all which leads him to believe there was little or no mesc in them at all but something else the Acetone and IPA did not remove...(Could have been trapped inside the original crystals cause he did not have the Mortar and Pestle to crush fully while doing the Acetone and IPA washes)

AFOAF is aware tha Mesc Acetate is NOT souluble in Ice Cold Anhydrous MEK...

He is now wondering if Mesc HCL is soluble at all in Ice Cold Anhydrous MEK as he would like to skip the Acetone and IPA washes next time and just use the MEK?????

Is Mesc HCL Soluble at all in Freezing Cold Anhydrous MEK and also are ALL NON-Mesc Alkaloids Soluble in Freezing Cold Anhydrous MEK ???

Cat is becoming bored with cutting and stripping a bunch of cactus cuttings. So far hes noticed the smaller bridgesii cuttings provide more green flesh (as compared to his more regular pedro cuttings.) The bridgesi cuttings are smaller but have more ribs, more surface area. He is considering doing a side by side: bridgesii vs panachoi. both 69ron style since he has succesfully done this tek before.

Anyway (you never know with this cat) he is eager to try wash some mesc-HCl with some icecold 99% MEK.
Perhaps it works better than IPA or acetone? Or perhaps it is a nice addition.

If there is enough mesc than i could compare. Like watch the difference in color after one wash of 99% cold acetone vs one wash of 99% cold MEK. so to get a rough feeling of what is happening. (assuming both will wash the tan)

It will probably mean i will have to mix the crude extracts of both the pedro and bridgesii extractions to get enough of uniform colored mesc, instead of bioassay the different washed cactus extracts (assuming there will be some residual non-mescaline alkaloids trapped in the crystals, even after washing). Perhaps i should first see if a recrystalisation in water is a good way to unlock trapped alkaloids, even before i start washing.

Im still in doubt about what comparison i want to do. I am open to your suggestions or preferences.
