I’ve seen quite a few people recommend tilting the glass dish slightly during freeze precipitation so that the solvent pools towards one end.
Some people claim this produces more or better crystals, while others seem to keep the dish completely flat.
For anyone who has tried both methods, have you noticed any genuine difference in crystal formation or overall recovery when the dish is tilted? Do you think it actually improves recovery or simply concentrates the crystals into a smaller area and makes them easier to collect?
