Dosing DMT orally, with turmeric and pepper as MAOI

Migrated topic.

Hi,it is an honour to become a part of this website. hector tried to smoke DMT several times, but since not being a heavy smoker, dmt is not doing that much, with the amount he can hold in his lungs without coughing up. So he is thinking about dosing dmt orally, with turmeric and pepper, to check whether it works out.

Plan is to take 2 teaspoon turmeric and 3/4 teaspoon pepper before 45 minutes when he dose dmt freebase in orange juice. The common Maois are hard to obtain in his country(india).

Any advices? If it works it will be my first workign dmt trip. I have experience with LSD for 1 year continuous usage.

This has been covered in another thread some years ago. Black pepper and turmeric will not work sufficiently as MAOIs in order to render DMT orally active. Is it really that difficult to obtain Syrian Rue/Esfand/Harmel/Sadhab-al-bari in India?

There may be other plants which contain harmala alkaloids which grow, or can be grown in your area. This is something to be researched.

Okay, I am planning to ask for Syrian rue in local herbs shops, how long the trip will last if i take 30mg DMT with syrian rue. My weight is 56kg.

Nope, you don't have to restrict anything from the diet when using Moclobemide or Harmalas/Peganum Harmala/B. Caapi. Moclobemide and Harmalas are RIMA's (reversible inhibitors of MAO-A) and as such do not have any dietary restrictions, unlike MAOI's (irreversible and non-selective MAOI's).

Thank you. I am planning to go by Moclobemide route. Will post my results.

Although it may not be life threatening, I think it is still a good idea to watch tyramine intake near dosing. I tested the waters by eating a couple slices of pepperoni pizza shortly after coming down from nasahuasca made with harmine. My test resulted in a moderate headache.

Headaches are side-effects of Harmalas, has nothing to do with Tyramine. There is no Tyramine reaction with Harmalas or Moclobemide. I've eaten many things, pepperoni pizza included right before and right after consuming strong dosages of Harmalas/Rue, haven't noticed any dietary reactions at all. Headaches from Harmalas can be caused by the vasodilation and/or lowered blood pressure, i used to take Clonidine which lowers blood pressure and would get very similar headaches to the ones i sometimes get from Harmalas. Tyramine reactions would cause horrific headaches and hypertension (high blood pressure) but i haven't noticed anything like that from consuming Harmalas, but i highly doubt anyone would experience headaches with Moclobemide since Moclobemide doesn't act as a vasodilator.

The diet thing is outdated information and does not apply to reversible inhibitors of MAO-A. Also, gut MAO-A inhibition from the Harmalas or Moclobemide is very short, about 2 hours in for Harmalas in capsule form, as well as for Moclobemide it seems, and maybe around 30 to 45 minutes for Harmalas if in tea form. The gut MAO-A inhibition is only present for a short amount of time, so gut MAO-A goes back to normal relatively quickly, and i've tested this out by using DMT and seeing how long after consuming the Harmalas i could consume the DMT, and if you wait too long, DMT won't be active, and DMT not being active shows you how long gut MAO-A is inhibited, which isn't long. It's pretty impossible, i would bet, for someone to have an actual dietary reaction with Harmalas or Moclobemide, and many people have put this to the test and haven't noticed any issues.
