Earthwalker's mini a/b

Previously, thought that a mini a/b would simply result in a cleaner product, but looking at the pics that Earthwalker provided here:

it seems that the two batches without the defat yielded significantly less.



Can a mini a/b actually increase yield, or are yields actually similar except with larger crystals when no defat is done?

A mini A/B is only a cleaning method for the product, resulting in whiter looking crystals, rather than Goo, Full Spectrum or other colourful forms of the alkaloid.

You can only yield what the bark has onboard with the extraction method used. Nothing 'increases' the outcome (except for efficient extraction technique)
The cleaning is an optional extra.

I think the pictures there are a little misleading and that a smaller amount of starting material was used for the batch that wasn't defatted. I think the first picture is the starting material which shows that one pile is much smaller than the other.

Like cyb said, the mini A/B is just to clean up the final extract and won't improve yield.

The 2 photos of the precipe dishes without the defat are actually extractions of 100g ACRB , but they were only 3 pulls in each dish ! as with the mini AB there is less solvent so the pulls off the clean up fit in one dish ...
