Easy & Chemical free?

Howdy y'all! Before going through with this I thought I should bounce it off some experts. I think I'm going to go with a "natural" route, which uses vegetable oil as the non-polar solvent. My understanding is that it works surprisingly well. Here is an overview of the process I will be using:

Phase 1) 1:1:10:4 Bark + washing soda + distilled Water + oil --> into oil
(50g + 50g + 500ml H2O + 200ml oil)

Phase 2) oil + distilled vinegar --> into vinegar
(Freebase to acetate)

Phase 3) Dry vinegar solution with gentle heat --> freebase DMT
(anhydrous acetate salts break down at ~40dC)

Phase 4) (optional) DMT + anhydrous Grain Alcohol --> freebase crystal (use freezer)

I only plan on doing #4 if the product is too impure (which I suspect will be true). I may also use drying salts (MGSO4) instead of drying the vinegar and then extract the DMT from the salts using grain alcohol (MGSO4 is only slightly soluble in alcohol). However, I'm not sure if I can get the alcohol dry enough for this to work (MGSO4 is highly soluble in water). I'm thinking Lime (CaO) will help me do this (CaO reacts with water and both the product and CaO are insoluble in alcohol).

Also, the steps that have interaction with oil should probably be done at elevated temperatures to ensure maximum extraction.

A detailed write up is below. So, here's my questions:

1) Do you guys think this will work?
2) How much lower yield does one get doing a natural tek?
3) Is it possible to get 99% EtOH using grain alcohol and lime (CaO)?

Ingredients:
- Dehydrated baking soda (washing soda)
- Distilled water
- Vegetable oil
- Spice

Optional:
- Dried Grain alcohol
- Drying Salts (Dehydrated Epsom salts, MGSO4)

Equipment:
- Mason Jar w/ lid
- Turkey baster (siphon)
- Filter
- A very warm place (perhaps an oven set at 150dF)


[Phase 1]
1) Dissolve 50g Washing soda in 500ml water
2) Add 50g Spice
3) Add 200ml oil
4) let sit for X hours in a very warm place, rotating frequently

[Phase 2]
1) Siphon off oil, discard Spice and soda-water
2) Add 100ml(?) distilled vinegar
3) let sit for X hours in a very warm place, rotating frequently

[Phase 3]
1) Siphon off oil & discard
2) Put remaining vinegar solution into a baking dish and let it dry
OR
2) Add Xg drying salts (and continue to phase 4)

[Phase 4] OPTIONAL
1) Add 100ml dried alcohol (see below) & mix toughly
2) Filter & discard residue
3) Crystallize DMT from alcohol solution in freezer

-I do not believe that alcohol will freeze-precipitate DMT. That works because naptha happens to be very temperature sensitive with regards to how much DMT it can absorb.

-Lime will basify your product, making it soluble in alcohol. I have never heard of lime being used to dry a solvent.

-"Spice" does not refer to root bark as you seem to be using it here, but rather to DMT.

-A good tip is not to discard anything until you are completely finished. This way if you do not get the expected yield, you can retrace your steps.

If you want something free of more toxic materials, try Q21Q21's d-limonene tek.

+1 for the Q21Q21. A friend who has tried several teks says it is the best by far, though he now uses naptha and then redissolves his crystals in IPA to get out any solvent traces because of the extra cost of limonene and because the limo tek ends up with DMT acetate and it's a pain to convert it to freebase.

Regarding the lime, I did not mean to indicate that I would use it while there are alkaloids in the solution, but rather to remove water from grain alcohol before using it. AFIK, CaO and Ca(OH)2 are both insoluble in alcohol and capable of drying alcohol beyond it's azeotrope.

I wonder how much DMT freebase EtOH can hold per ml. With that knowledge I believe one should be able to crystallize DMT from alcohol. If I am unable to crystallize from EtOH, I will still be able to evaporate it in much less time that a vinegar solution.
