To have DMT be active orally you need to combine it with a MAOI. You don't need a specific salt, freebase will work too (but it's more rough on the stomach).

The easiest and cheapest to get is syrian rue. You can use either the tea or extract the harmala alkaloids (a lot of info here about it). For rue, I recommend to start with around 2g, and for pure harmalas, around 150-200mg. Then you can try higher doses.
For DMT, a good place to start is 30mg. Sensitivity to this varies a lot, so you may get a very light effect from that, or a quite intense one already. If it's very light, you can always try higher doses or even redose, but if you redose make sure to have waited at least a couple of hours, it can take some time.
