was wondering how people feel about rinsing the crystals after they have been filltered from the naptha and dried.

Do people prefer to use cold water or Ammonium Hydroxide?

(siwm tried a smoke thinking once the naptha had vaped off the crystals it would be ok, but clearly not, it was well harsh, must have residue on them) ops... will get there in the end..

i am used to oral trips ( mushrooms cids Aya.....) this is a whole knew ball game...

I dont think anyone these days is using amonium or water(?) for that fact. People normaly do a sodium carbonate wash and re-x, or just a re-x or 2 if needed.

How sure are you that your naptha is clean? have you done an evap test atleast? any re-x done on the spice?
If it is clean and the spice was dry when vaped, then the only other thing that might be the problem is your vaping method. how are you vaping it?

Burning your spice will feel like your lungs are getting raped, btw.

dont wash crystals, thats an innefective way of cleaning them because it will only wash the outside exposed part of crystals. Also a lot of people experience yield loss specially with ammonia wash.

Either do a sodium carb wash of the solvent (in other words have your crystals dissolved in a solvent), and/or do a re-x. FAQ has all the info necessary.

i see, i was doing Marsflod from the Nexus Wiki and it says ammonium hydroxide to clean, but in the revision it also says water can be used. i guess thats dated.

i will have a look at re-x sodium carbonet washing process that you both mensioned.

the naptha i use is top quality swan ligther fliud, doesnt seem to leave a trace when vaped in a pirex dish...

my vaping method was to stir up the crystals that had precipitated, pour the naptha through coffe fillter paper then scrap off the crystals, leave them to dry on the side room temp. i have been re-using the naptha to try take more dmt out of the black sodium hyd/vinigar/water solution...

soz thought you meant naptha vap... i have a clear glass coil pipe i bought especialy for spice only with a nice glass bowl. first try was holding the lighter underneath so flame is not in direct contact with crystals, and inhaling slowly till it was gone... thats what i had read on the site.. shame my spice wasnt ready enough...

i just read the FAQ section i had'nt noticed it. is very helpful section, have taken my jars out the frezer am goning to put the spice i made so far back in to one of the two jars, disolve the lot again, and preform the sodium carb wash that you said... exciting stuff.. i guess its like riding a bike, once you know you'll never forget...
