Oh Man! I had so much hope for this thread based on the title "energy snakes".
See, I have taken a lifestyle choice of working in an investigatory capacity on low, medium and strong doses of DMT and always (for a time at least) with eyes open. And you know what...in certain lighting conditions I see all these...ah, well...I saw the video and I am now going off topic with my own "encounters".
It looked like a good party on video, but I reckon it was better for being their in the flesh...and I, poor me, was here, with mon cockerel.
Thus...I wish energy snakes every serpentine success

I have it on very, very reliable authority that the context of these hip hop music videos relates to the same experiences you are describing. Some cultures refer to Wisdom Serpents, this rapper here has experienced the streams of flying crocodiles, encountered the great red dragon, and yes indeed seen his fair share of energy snakes.
