Far be it for me to suggest a recipe for depressionless, happy life exists, but if I had to put one together, it would be a trifecta between good food, good sleep, and a purpose in life (regardless if that takes the form of a relationship, a hobby, a profession, or anything else).
Having a caffeine crash is normal if you consume it too soon after waking up, and consume too much of it in a short period of time. There's plenty of discussion on the forum about this already, and videos of Huberman explaining the mechanisms behind that.
It's important to answer for yourself what do you attribute your depression to. In most cases, when one is suffering from depression, introducing more and more layers of sensory abstraction (i.e. psychoactive substances like caffeine, etc) on top of that is nothing more than a bandaid, and one that sticks in a particularly bad way too. Rip it off, and you're back at square one, but a bit worse.
Address your behavioural situation before you try and find more crutches to deal with the issue at hand. What are your bad habits that might be contributing to this? How might they be contributing? What can you do to limit your exposure to and inclination for these bad habits?
As you can see, there are plenty of questions to answer before getting to the alternative energy supplementation methods you allude to.
Take care
