Enhanced Caapi Leaf Questions?

Looking at this tek: Enhanced Caapi Leaf & Changa Primer - Changa - Welcome to the DMT-Nexus

First is this a viable way of making enhanced leaves? I've read through several teks in regard to harmala and harmine extractions for making enhanced leaves and they require more involvement compared to that of spice extraction. Will this tek be just as effective, or close enough to, to make this tek viable?

Other question is can pure grain alcohol, everclear, be used with the same results as using ethyl alcohol? Or would proper results for the tek require ethyl alcohol as used in the tek?

Appreciate any thoughts and recommendations in regard to this or changa in general.

Everclear is 95% ethyl alcohol. It works great and it is what I use for changa/ enhanced leaf. This tek will definitely work, some people are just purists and prefer to enhance their leaf material with pure harmala alkaloids. Best of luck, fellow traveler!

Just started the tek and have the powdered leaves soaking in everclear. Reading the rest of the tek again, I realized I had forgotten the changa making portion requires acetone. Would anybody else here also advise to the anhydrous acetone? Are the "pure" acetones advertised around 100% or close to there? Is acetone used at this stage cause it dissolves spice where the ethyl alcohol does not, or can everclear be used for this stage as well?

I have used acetone bought from hardware stores and Kmart (same brand) and have found it to evaporate clean and not have water in it. Look up the MSDS for whatever brand is available at your local hardware store and if it says 100% acetone, and it evaporates clean, you're probably good to go. Just make sure you have adequate ventilation when working with acetone, because the fumes are very harsh and can be hazardous (not to mention extremely flammable).

I have not used ethanol for this particular procedure, but freebase DMT is soluble in ethanol. So theoretically it would work, I think the tek probably just advises to use acetone because it evaporates very quickly. Freebase DMT might have a greater solubility in acetone as well, meaning it would require less volume to completely dissolve the spice, but I don't know that for sure. I dont think harmala extraction involves more than extracting dmt does. The filtering part is the most significant aspect. You can try doing more boils but with whole seeds, and the filtering should be significantly easier. You can save the seeds if you get a bad yield you can later blend them and try extracting again, though with a few more boils (6 total maybe? ) you might have already a good yield.

I think with extracted harmalas one has more control over the harmala dosage, it's IMO easier to calibrate one's relationship with this mixture when smoking dmt with added-harmalas

As for the changa/enhanced caapi, one can indeed just soak in ethanol and evap onto herbs. You can also straight away just dissolve some dmt onto caapi leaves, without concentrating.

For dissolving DMT and evaporating onto the herbs, acetone is great, but dont use it for soaking the caapi to get the harmalas. You can use ethanol for all cases, it just evaps slower than acetone on the DMT case.

Most excellent, I am being a very patient individual in regard to both spice accumulation and changa creation. I think I will skip the acetone, and keep with the ethanol. Patience may become an issue after the first experience, initial trials and tribulations, but for now the journey into alchemy has been quite pleasurable. And may these pleasure in patience be accompanied with rewards when the time of partaking is at hand. Mind, body, and spirit must be ready after all.
