heyyy, noob here looking for reasonably priced buchnan funnel slim neck bottles and other absolute necessities for beginners that you guys recommend, Links or preferences appreciated. Apologies if

I'm no chemist but I would say there is no need to invest in any fancy equipment beyond maybe a couple graduated cylinders and pipettes. Otherwise, Mason or other jars around home, #4 coffee filters, pyrex dish and measuring cups, a small table fan, etc. should be more than enough to get you there. Where I would recommend you invest a bit is in safety equipment - full eye protection goggles, chemical rated gloves, dual cartridge respirator, etc.

I'm always a fan of keeping things as simple as possible. Between dealing with caustic (lye) and flammable/explosive (non polar solvents) materials maximizing simplicity makes the most sense to me personally.

The only absolute necessity (edit to add: not including safety equipment, definitely get that too) I would recomend starting out is one or two glass pipettes and a manual pipette pump that fits. 10 to 25 ml
Having tried the different methods of transfer, it's worth the money.
For your first few runs you can use glass juice jugs for the extraction vessel, a glass measuring cup, standard bakers scale, and a glass pan with a lid or even small mason jars for freeze precipitation.
Wait to make sure this is something you have a knack for and actually plan on continuing before you start making more invested purchases.

buchnan funnel
Büchner funnel? Best used with a suction pump and the appropriate filter flasks (thick-walled conical flasks with sidearm/vacuum spigot). Would also require filter paper discs of the correct size. This doesn't count as an absolute necessity for a beginner, even if it's a useful piece of kit when doing frequent filtrations.

Some jars, a jug, and maybe a funnel are all you need to get started.

1001%! (y)(y)(y)

+1 for the pipettes recommendation, too.

I'm in agreement with redbird and would posit that the one most helpful piece of equipment is a pipette and pump. They're under $10 on Amazon--though do try to buy from a non-oligarch backed source--and will make your life a lot easier. Gone should be the days of basting our naphtha in questionable plastic utensils. If it makes your heart sing to buy other "fancy" glassware in addition to that one component, then by all means go for it.

edit: And yes, safety equipment is goodgood too, try our best to exercise harm reduction (y)
