Evaporated and was left with no crystals?

Hi, I used marsofolds tek on a quarter lb of Mhrb.

I put it in the water vinegar solution in a crockpot for 2 hours. I then put it in a mason jar, added the caustic soda base, and saw the freebase come out. I shook it, put naptha on top, and allowed it to sit over night. I used a pipette to remove the naptha and allowed it to evaporate. I was left with a little yellow oil residue and like 3 tiny crystals.

I put more naptha, added more base, and mixed it back together. I evaporated again, and nothing!

Anyone have any suggestions?

Cook the mhrb longer, and roll the naptha through the mimosa and lye solution more so it picks up the alkaloids. This is really the only thing I can think of.

what do you mean you "saw the freebase come out? Freebase does not just precip out when you add base to the tea..

Also you say you "put naptha on top"..you cant just add naptha and expect it to like pull the freebase DMT up out of the tea..it has to be rolled around back and forth so that the naptha and the tea gets all mixed up and then re-seperates..and you need to do this a good few times to get everything.

Go back and read through some teks on the site so that you understand exactly how this all works..and also it is best when starting to extract only small ammounts so you dont waste a whole batch of bark if you mess up. The DMT is in there though you just have to get it out.

I did roll the naptha throughout. Sorry for my wording.

In the tek with pictures, it showed the white layer when the lye was added, the author called it Freebase so I thought that's what it was.

The oil has dried and now I have a yellowish goo.

Let the goo dry and reX it.

^^ That yellow oil has DMT in it, but when it's impure, it has an even lower melting point, so it takes a lot longer to fully dry and crystallize when impure. Scraping up all that yellow goo can help it harden, and a simple re-x as suggested will help turn it into lighter, solid crystals.
