extracting DMT in australia?

hello all. im new to the forum. i plan to do an extraction soon but have alot of questions as products listed in the tek's are for america and i am unsure of which products to use in australia or where they can be found. i am gunna use a. maidenii bark with the marsofold tek.im just going to do the defatting process a few extra times. for the polar extraction, is it OK to use citric acid? what pH should i be aiming for? if i simmer the bark for 2 hours and then put all of the mix including bark into a jar and leave to sit for a few days, will that increase yeild? or will the simmering get all the alkaloids out anyway.\ when defatting i can use shellite correct? anyone know of a good product for defatting which SWIM could easily find in aus? is it true i could use mineral turps or metho to defat aswell? for the basification. in australia, most drano SWIM seen is only around 50% NaOH. is that OK to use? anyone know of a brand which is closer to 100% NaOH? im assuming it is ok to use drano which is 50% NaOH, itll just mean i gets some extra shit in my final productt? will the ammonia not clean that up anyway? oh and what pH should i be aimaing at here when basifying? and the nonpolar extravction, again shellite is ok?? or if any knows any better products which are easy to get... is it true i could use mineral turps or metho for non polar aswell? i plan to do the freeze precipitation. i live with other people and if they see a big baking pan full of liquid/crystals they are gunna be suspicious. would it be ok if i put them in the freezer overnight but kept it in an esky during the day? i could easily keep reloading the eksy with new icebricks and stuff and probably keep the air con on. is there a certain temperature SWIM would need to keep it at? anbd last but not least the ammonia wash. where do i find clear ammonia in AUS?? would this be found in a local hardware store like bunnings or or mitre 10 or something? sorry if im asking alot of questions this his my first extraction and i just want to make sure it foes well. i want to clarify stuff as i cant seem to find answers anywhere else. hiopefully some other guys can help me out. thanks to anyone who lends a hand, gretly appreciated.

Hey mate, Use 3 parts water and one part white vinegar for your acid part. Defat with shellite. Dont use drano. Bunnings sells caustic soda in the paint department where you also get shellite. The caustic soda is 98% NaOH and works fine. Good luck mate.

awesome!!! thanks heaps i will be checking out bunnings this weekend then! i was talking to an experienced dmt extractor he told me "Using Vinegar results in goo as the final product, use the citric acid that I recommended, you'll find little plastic jars in the cake section of safeway/coles/generic supermarket."

yah, will do. i have heard alot of mixed reports also, im gunna give it a try anyway. if all else fails about 1 hours drive i know there is some obtusifolia;s which i can get my hands on.

Hey mardybum, Thanks, SWIM will give the citric acid a go. When SWIM used vinegar water he got goo but when recrystalized got some nice white crystals which blews his mind but he is always willing to give a new thing a go for the sake of science :D . I have heard ascorbic acid works great too. What state you in?

this is what ive worked out so far. polar, citric acid - still unsure about pH, after boiling should i leave to sit in jar for few days to increase yeild? deffating - two times mineral turps, once shellite. basification - caustic soda, i found a brand called diggers at my hardware shop 99% NAoH, get to pH 13.5 extraction - shellite freeze precip - in urine jars, easy to conceal ;) how long do they need to be left to freeze? 3 days max or until i see crystals? if i cant get clear ammonia ill just do a recrystallisation if i want to purify my product more.

you wanna acidify to around 3.too low a PH like 1.5 - 2 gets more unwanted crap out.basify to 13.5 and no less than 13 or you will get a nasty emulsion.also use hot shellite and let layers settle in a crock pot at around 65 - 70 C.If your freezer is set at it's lowest setting,after about three or four hours most of the spice has crashed out.If you're not sure of the % of spice in the material you are working with and suppose there is too much shellite for the amount of spice,some will stay in the even cold shellite and won't precipitate.a surefire way to get as much out as possible out of the shellite is to let it evap at room temperature till it starts getting cloudy.TRhat means it's starting to get saturated.at that point put it in the freezer and most will crash out of solution very fast and when it's no longer cloudy and clear again, there ain't much left inthere and you can filter your spice in a coffee filter and let it dry.then you have the choice to do an ammonia wash or a recrystalization.recrystalizing 4 times the spice gets so clean it's very snortable will little burn on the nose for only about three minutes.then it's a much longer experience lasting about 45 minutes. :lol:

awesome!!! thanks for the info! mmm snorting i will have to try that! do you just snort the same amount as you would smoke, like say a 50mg smoke is a good amount, snort 50mg? to make shellite hot, i put it in a glass jar and let it sit in hot water right? when i extract - add hot shellite to the jar, shake it up, pour into warm crock pot to let it settle, once settled, suck up with turkey baster. if i evap a bit before freezing, should i let the shellite go cloudy in the urine jar or in a baking pan? i will put the shellite into the freezer in a urine jar nonetheless, but i assume a baking pan would be better for letting it go cloudy in, then putting it into the urine jar to freeze?

hey everybody, i have been searching for ammonia or something similar to help clean my spice however this is proving to be very difficult in australia. i can of coarse find cloudy ammonia though most of it seems to contain some sought of detergent. Through my searching i have come to realise that ammonia is actually a gas that is passed through water to become ammonium hydroxide?? is this correct and should we be searching for this instead.. If can anyone can suggest a brand or outlet or even an alternative it would be greatly appreciated.

thanx noman swim took your advise and did a recrystalisation twice and got left with a substance that was half of what i originally started with.. When dried it looked liked crushed pearls with a shine and lustre. it did look cleaner than his first batch and smelled clean too, however... swim let it dry for at least three days before smoking and could still taste a mothball smell. he is sure that it is shellite residue however from his evap test it evaporated clean.. have any other australians experienced this problem and if you have how have you dealt with it. swim uses diggers naoh and diggers shellite...

DMT isn't tasteless at all... I was afraid SWIM's DMT contained naphta as well, but I have smoked quite some of it now and I'm still here. Trust me, if you smoke naphta you won't get into hyperspace and get normal again within half an hour without headaches or anything :)

Hey mate. When I smoke it I dont taste it for a minute or two (I cant even tell I have a body). After a minute or two I can taste a distinctive taste in my mouth. I could never put a name to it but I guess mothball taste is pretty accurate. You will not have shellite after a few days drying. If you are worried about residue just put sheelite in a clean container and evap it completly. If no residue your ok. If there is change brands. Someone I know uses rocochem brand from bunnings and that is ok but I am sure diggers is fine. BTW where can you get diggers NaOH as I have heard it is 100%. The stuff a friend uses is 98% but works ok.
