I used salt with only flowers as a test. That step was actually a mistake because I started following a guide for MHRB out of naivety instead of rationality. I'm not very skilled yet. Much later I discovered that I was doing some version of all the common salt teks (like Cyb's) with added defat steps that I borrowed from a different post. Pretty straightforward, but I still don't understand if salt does anything. The flowers were strong, though. Might also just be that the concentration is higher in those parts of the plant. As for specific weight, I didn't care enough to document at the time. I had to prune the flowers because they kept growing and dropping which seemed like a waste.
