Extracting Ibogaine from non-traditional sources

I'm interesting in finding out as much as I can about extracting Ibogaine from non-traditional sources. I live in the US, so T. Iboga is Schedule I. I feel drawn to Ibogaine, and I know that it exists in other sources. I've heard of other people extracting it from sources which are currently legal in the US.

Does anyone know anything about this, or can point me to somewhere I can find out more?

Many thanks :)

as far as plants specifically containing ibogaine besides t. iboga, you might want to look into:

Tabernanthe orientalis

Tabernanthe pubescens

Trachelospermum jasminoides

and I think your best bets may be the Tabernaemontana species

Hope it helps :d

This seems like good info on T. ventricosa, it doesnt seem like a source of ibogaine.

T. divaricata:

star jasmine (!) supposedly has 0.04% ibogaine in it. I always wonder when I see a plant with those white pinwheel flowers.

I'm very interested in this topic, but I have my doubts as far as finding a potent non iboga source.

Bancopuma I think did a very straightforward STB extraction that seemed efficient, so that seems like a good start for testing material. STB, check for purity, check melting point, etc. using a plant that has a history of internal use is also very reassuring.

EDIT I looked around a bit more and found that Tabernanthe manii has been used long ago to make an ibogaine extract in france. If this is a distinct species it could provide a legal loophole to cultivate and aquire some interesting plants for people in fascist, erm I mean strict, countries. Unfortunately I couldn't find any sources of seeds or plant material.

I'm not sure if that procedure would bring along some potentially nasty alks that exist in other plants, but its a start. I've started investigating amsonia and hemp dogbane also. I don't think they have ibogaine in them, but they are related and medicinal so I'm interested. btw, does anyone know how to go about preparing T. sananho?
