Extracting soon... A Question

100g of P.Viridis... am hoping to brew a drink and hopefully extract a few crystals if I can...

Plan-
- 100 gram of P Viridis
- 300ml Water
- 300ml Lemon Juice
- 2 litre mason jar
- Metal spoon

then simmer the final combined mix (1.8ltrs) down to 700ml
so that's hopefully DMT enriched liquid...

If I saved 200ml for a drink, would I then have the option to add Nampha to the remaining 500ml for an extraction attempt...?

- 25g Lye
- 200 ml naphtha
- Eye dropper
- Freezer
- Sheet of A4 paper

For your brew, I don't think you need that much lemon juice. ~100mL would be enough I think.

For an extraction you need to add a base. DMT dissolves in water under acidic conditions dissolves in non-polar solvents in basic conditions. Before adding any naphtha you need to raise the pH to about 10. Just follow any acid-base tek but take out that 200mL after acidification.

I thought 200ml of Lemon would break down the leafs better.... maybe 200ml / 100ml water.

Yea I've looked into quite a few Basify methods...
Lye - is there a full name for this because I cant seem to find online...
Alternatives to Lye??

Few things..

It's naphtha, not nampha.

The very first google link for lye will tell you the full name, you could have done that too

Please check our FAQ for answers to some of those and more questions

As for what Igel said, raise pH to more than 10, raise to 13+ (if you are measuring pH). If not, just freely add lye (slowly) and stir.

Why do you need an A4 paper?

Lastly, 100grams psychotria viridis isnt much at all, unless its some really potent stuff, you probably wont get much out. I hear hawaian chacruna is the more potent but dont know how reliable that information is, might be some is potent and some is not depending on where in hawai, specific genetics, how it was grown, etc.

Sodium hydroxide aka Lye .... But there seem to be 3 different types/forms of it.

I thought it would be better to dry out the crystals on paper (naptha absorb) but its prob best
To just use a steel Pan...
