Extraction questions

Hello. I’m new to DMT. I have searched for the TEKs and because of the geographical issues I only have access to specific materials to extract DMT. Which are;

1- Hexane
2- Naoh (Sodium Hydroxide)
3- MHRB

I’ve never done extraction before and I’m afraid I could mess it up. I need some help.

On the web I saw different materials used in extraction but also found some easy methods that can actually make it happen with naphtha and NaOH and water. Naphtha isn’t found in my area, but I found out that Hexane and zippo lighter can be used alternative to naphtha.

Which one do you suggest? Zippo lighter or hexane?

The question is, the given measurement for naphtha can be same for hexane too? During the extraction, if the guide says use 100ml of naphtha, does this mean I should use 100ml of hexane? Or it should be different?

My other question is, are there different types of sodium hydroxides and hexanes or are all the same?

English is not my mother tongue and that is why I cannot follow the instructions given in the TEKs page, they are too long and hard to understand for me but videos are working well enough for me to understand how to do it. And I want to share the one I pick as a guide for me.

I will be following the instructions given in this video. But I would love to see a very clean guideline from someone who truly understands that I can’t get into complicated stuff.

For me, this is all about putting all the materials together in an order to a glass container and mixing and shaking it, then sucking the top part with pipette and let it freeze. Then collecting the DMT.

Please enlighten me whether I can make this with this attitude. I’m open to any suggestions. And thank you for reading this so far.

You will be fine using hexane as long as it is pure. 100ml of naphtha would be the same as 100ml of hexane. You want 100 % lye (sodium hydroxide) also. Naphtha nowadays supposedly has impurities now anyways. You will be all good brother.

Just bear in mind, avoid exposure to hexane fumes - it is neurotoxic and should therefore be used only with all appropriate precautions. Hexane is highly selective and also a fairly poor solvent for DMT, which means you'll get pure product but will probably have to do more pulls than you would with naphtha. Its relatively low boiling point also means that its ease of evaporation can be a hindrance during the extraction process, since it's disappearing while you're trying to use it.

That is basically it, the extraction really is very simple.
