Eye Shades / Blindfold

Is it possible that my low doses so far have been improved by having closed or open eyes behind a blackout mask?
I'm guessing this lets me go more inward than having external distractions.
Should I do some open eye sessions too?

The only answer to that last question is Yes. Isn't it?

Depending on the dose, it might not even matter.

But if you're taking low doses and looking to go inward, I'm not sure watching neon hieroglyphics bounce around your room is gonna be all that helpful.

But unless your supply is extremely limited, by all means experiment!

I'd encourage you to investigate. Darkness allows for a deeper immersion.
It all depends on the style of your sessions. I use oral brews, so there is a lot of time for different experiments.
Darkness promotes inner exploration, and open eyes usually tend to shift focus to a wider world.
However, given a strong enough dose, there is no difference.

I'm definitely most interested in going inwards, but i guess i don't want to miss out on a few OEV's, though I'll stick with CEV's for now I think.

It's not about the visions, though. However, assume a playful attitude, especially in the beginning. Explore every possible side of the experience and see your reactions to each.

I think these visions connect directly to energies in the body. You are exploring and working on your system. Listen more to your intuition and try to adapt to the pace of your session. Occasionally you'll want to be silent; other times it's good to sing or go deep into visions. Stay open and curious. Nothing can touch you in mental planes. It's all made of the same energy. Enjoy the play and see who's enjoying it.

Hey there,

First post and all. Newbie here. I've had a couple attempts and a little experience.

On my third trip, I ended up in a bit of a state mid-trip where, I had been told to keep your eyes closed if you want to see things best and that opening your eyes could actually take you out of the trip. But when you're 'in it' you can't really much control much of anything. I couldn't tell if my eyes were actually closed or not, because I couldn't feel them, and I started to get worried that they were actually opening. Whole thing seemed to shut the experience down for me.

So I bought a sleeping mask. I work overnights and sleep during the day so it does double-duty and I'm looking forward to using it. Can't say yet it's my 'recommendation', but I can't see myself going for another trip without it on.
