First A/B Questions

Starting material: 500g mhrb

I just finished my first A/B following marsofold tek. I was wondering how many pull i should do on the a/b mix? I made two pull on the liquid and got only 2g out. Tried a third pull yesterday and after 12h in the freezer I only have 5-10 little crystals growing.

Is it because the third pull might take more time to crash out or I probably got all the dmt out of the solution with the first 2 pulls?

Should I run a STB on the leftover material? If its the case do I use 1g NaOH/g of mhrb?

The third pull doesnt take more time to crash out. It doesnt take time to precipitate, just temperature change. You may be experiencing problems due to your your solvent not being saturated enough. Was your solvent warm enough? How many ml of solvent are you freezing? Maybe you need to evap to solvent down to 25% of the original volume and then freeze precip. The last time my friend extracted 500g of bark he was left w. 7g of spice.

I might not have evaporated it enough... I'll try to reduce it and put it back in the freezer...

The naphtha was cloudy when i got it out of the hot water bath but strangely 3-5 mins later was clear when i put it in the freezer???
( hot water bath + fan for evap)

q3: I've seen numerous posts about acid cook temp and times. Some state an half hour is enought. Others 45min-2h. Marsofold says 2hours simmering. Some say it can be boiled others say it shouldnt go over 62C. Those are all contracdictory informations dating from different years and I'm having a hard time figuring out the best way to conduct an A/B.

What is the most up to date information on this?
