So the plan was to make some 10x caapi using the water boil method, here is what SWIM did:
boiled 45g caapi leaf 45 min and strained 5x
combined all extractions then reduced
evaporated into 5g caapi leaf
after leaving out to dry for more than enough time the leaf weighed 22.7g
I'd assume the higher weight of the final product would be due to a higher yield of alkaloids extracted and infused, it seems a bit much though. Anyone experience similar results?
Also taking the weight increase into account it would seem that is is only around 2X caapi leaf how would one get a true 10x infusion?
