First Extraction pics with newbie questions

Hi everyone,

First time here, first time down the path to the particular world of DMT I've been a sally smoker for a while and one day looking entheogens related sites "shopping for a different experience" I came across MHRB wich I don't know why grabbed my attention. Then I learned about the existence of DMT. But all of those things are still pretty "theorical to me". I have to note that I've never seen DMT in RL.

After a week of reading left and right on teks and all the methods to extract this divine spice I finally chose to try a simplified version of noman's tek.

Following this tek permitted me to extract 3g of white powder (+ content of the jar on the pic) out of 250g of MHRB.

Could anyone tell me if the content of the jar on the pic look ok? my 3 jars looked like this but i decided to get the content of only 2 and leave this one to dry further...

From the pictures and what I've read on the net the results I have should be good. But I would like someone to confirm this since im inexperienced in this domain.

2nd thing

I made a "machine" out of a small booze bottle. I followed use instructions and got some vapor in the bottle that definitly tasted like "leathery" burned palstic. I tried a little bit of it ( maybe 2 pin heads) and it gave me a light nausea, with increased hearth pulse and a definitive impression that i couldnt judge distances correctly ( I felt tall, legs felt big and feet small. But its only and impression it wasnt like WOW Im sooo tall...) Was this because the dose was too small?

P.S: I was nervous...

Hi frankfrank,

Welcome to the Nexus. . I suspect Salvia Divinorum is good practice for DMT, especially if you have experienced full effects, including 3-D breakthroughs.

Your first extraction looks BEAUTIFUL to my eye. Gorgeous and clean.

The effects you described sound to me mostly like placebo or psychosomatic. You are going to be very surprised when you get a good dose of DMT into you.

I humbly but firmly suggest you invest a small amount of money in a small jeweler's milligram scale. It is best to weigh DMT doses.

That looks like very nice DMT. I get that signature ring of yellow at the line where my naptha is every time it is a nice big pull of DMT about to precipitate out.

The effects you got sound a little odd. Maybe it was because you were so nervous and kept your eyes open. I could definitely see that happening if I stood up on a 20-25mg dose rather than relaxing and closing my eyes!

I'd recommend reading a bit around about the experience of others (there are SO MANY) and especially LOOK AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE ↑^↑^↑ Attitude | Health & Safety | FAQ | Chat | Wiki ↑^↑^↑ ALL are super great resources too!

Hope the "machine" worked. if not maybe using a smaller bottle would help. I had my one and only mis-fire when I used a full 355ml bottle and I couldn't tell when the smoke was coming and exhaled when I should have been holding, then a bunch of smoke leaked out.
I have been a supporter of the "machine" for a while and I recently wrote a guide on making one that may help if you haven't seen it yet.

Thank you guys for the fast answer. Ill probably try to recrystalise this jar in hot naphta hoping to grow bigger crystals ( All i got right now is in a fine powdery form.)

And i'll get a mg scale asap

Q21q21 as soon as i get my d-limonene, ill try your tek. Anything particular I should note or take care off before I try it?

Little question: When i freeze precipitate is it better to empty de naphta and leave the jar to dry upside down ( gave me powder and it was hard to get everything out of the jar ) or try to scrape the crystals with a spatula right after taking the jar out of the freezer and filter everything with a cofee filter ( gave me small crystals but at least got everything out of the jar)...

You can use naphtha too for great results...

Well with either Tek 1 or Tek 2 there is a link in the "Basification" step about the recent and likely soon-to-be-added step of oven-drying to reduce migration of the solvent in the lime-bark-mush but without that step it should be fine too.

As for the scraping. While for now with the container you could either:
1: Dissolve it in (clean evaporating) acetone or naptha then evaporate it on herbs or re-crystallize it for scraping (see below)
or
2: Dissolve it in vinegar then evaporate it on some herbs or to a pale-yellow goo that is very smoke-able.

For next time use a container with a flat-bottom that a razor blade can scrape well (not plastic) and you'll get nearly every little bit of the DMT.
There tends to be a gooey-film of what I believe is Jungle DMT on the bottom of a freezer-precipitation container so the crystals will likely be scraped up sitting on some yellowish goo. It should still be perfect to smoke though.

I have noticed the goo crystallizes after about 12-24 hours of drying. Could it be just DMT that hasn't crystallized? I also noticed that the goo hardens after it's scraped a bit.

Hmmm, that's interesting. I'll check on that next extraction.
I usually dissolve it in vinegar within on hour of it drying.
