First Extractions

Hey everyone this is my second post on this forum and I want to share SWIM's first extractions! So after lots of research and sourcing to find supplies locally SWIM proceeded to study Q21Q21's 2 teks on the nexus. Being from Canada, finding it hard to find light naphtha and not wanting to use lighter fluid, SWIM found a company that distributes an "odorless thinner" (Naphtha petroleum hydrotreated heavy (C6-C13). So because it was heavy naphtha, it took a very long time to evaporate, and SWIM could not find any solid info on the issue so was unsure if it would freeze precipitate the way it is supposed to. Because of this SWIM decided to try the d-limonene tek first to avoid any failure as this would be his first extraction and first time trying DMT. in the end both extractions turned out absolutely perfect. Used 200 grams of MHRB for a full-spectrum JIMJAM tincture, and 100 grams of MHRB to yield just under a gram of freebase NN-DMT in the first 3 pulls. Very thankful for the nexus and its amazing wiki and forum. It has been an absolute blessing to have access to this database and the legends leading the community haha! You are all awesome!

Welcome! Congratulations on your successful extractions! My first DMT extraction was q21q21's jimjam tincture using limonene. I later converted the jimjam to freebase DMT by basing, pulling with heptane, and freeze precipitating. I found it well worth the extra steps to convert it.

@shroombee. Hey thanx for the reply. Yeah, I've been looking into the best method to convert the JimJam. Thanx for the tip because I was thinking about using the sodium carbonate and iso method but was deterred from doing it because I'd read something about the possibility of sodium acetate contamination and many extra steps to clean it after. I will look into this method, from the sound of it, it seems much more efficient.
