How were you trying to germinate the seeds in 9b? were you sowing out doors?
It did , they got destroyed tho. Might try again soon.
More info on how they got destroyed might help other give some advice and feedback on how to have sucess!

Best to plan to grow under lights indoor for the first year of growth in a controlled grow!

Rained hard uncovered. May try again, need seeds or rooted guyz.
Seeds are best started indoors under light , in small trays with a solid fitting clear lid with FAE or plastic wrap! IME high humidity for the first few months and to slowly reduce humidity over time ( cacti seeds can germinate in a couple weeks and continue for a couple months ime. They are also sensitive to bright intense lighting and sun burn really easy in full sun/ high intensity light.

I have had best success germinating them sown sprinkled on top of your soil medium ( Which should also be ran through the microwave or oven) and lightly pressed into your medium, I used T5 lighting years ago maybe someone can suggest newer modern equivalents as I'm not too versed with modern lighting and still rock T5s for clones and seedlings and HPS/MH for different types of growing Flowering/Vegitative.

Check out some Australian Growers on Social Media and look for them selling Master Seed packs.. kind of pricey but the variety you get and quality of genetics are worth it!

If your in a country where outdoor growing of cacti is a thing ( Grow zone) like some USA zones you can snag some cuttings which will let you get a plant to usable size in a year or two depending on your grow zone and climate.

Best of luck on your next attempt
