Considering I'm normally a very bad "science lab" partner; I'm happy with my very first DMT extraction (STB) . I used only 30grams m. hostilis, 35 grams lye, and like 175 ml naptha. Put it all in a 500ml sep. funnel and then "swirled" the funnel and ran it under a hot sink off and on for maybe 4 hours. I seperated out the clear top layer, Let it sit till morning in the freezer. I was unsure about the recrystalization/wash/evap procedure. But I could clearly see crystals floating by the time I woke up (most were stuck on the very bottom of my jar. I ran the naptha through a panty-hose filter, but ended up using a very nice exacto set to chizzle the best material off the bottom (of course I should have waited for a bit more evap time)
Experience: I had been using adderalls and drinking a bit for the past two days while I setup this process and made sure I understood it. So I wasn't in the frshest mindset, plus I had to use a nug of weed to "mop up" some of the more "mushy" shards. I got two good hits and instantly and I knew I was tripping. I relaxed went with it, never experienced a moment of fear, but mostly just saw comlpex geometric patterns and felt extermemly good. I think the weed messed with it, plus the adderall still in my system gave me too much ego-overdrive. But at least I know the 411 now. I'm already doing my 2nd pull on that first batch. I got 7 more OZ of MHRB too, so I'm debating whether to do a full out A/B extraction with the bulk of the bark and go for broke.
I would say my results were probably about the average, maybe above average considering I improvised a few things that worked out nicely. Mostly I just made sure I had extras of every ingredient, and tons of lab equipment in case the sep. funnell wasn't for me. Overall I'm more excited about doing ayahuasca now. But we'll see after I get a "true" trip to hyperspace.
