A solid amount of lemon juice takes pH down to 2, I wonder why that fails in salting the freebase, it worked IME. What were your indicators of salting-failure please? I thought when all solids dissolve the conversion is successful enough?

A second route to ease effectively the stomach is oat porridge approach:
It is sure worth an attempt.

I totaly agree with you, it's just, IME, all the solids don't dissolve even when mixing for 10 min. TBH, i never checked the pH, just poured more lemon juice with no change.
It's a mystery for me. Might be temperature related.

I think so. Heated to warm and there was a full dissolving of what seemed to dissolve difficult without warming. Some heat, swirling and some time did it.
